This painting that I present to you today, has a very special meaning for me, in this painting I represent my two beloved dogs who have already departed from this earthly world.
The history of my dogs is as follows:
Both of my dogs were Cocker Spaniel breed. Rufo was white with brown spots and Pancho his son was all brown with a white muzzle.
Rufo came to our home after the loss of another dog who lived with us for a very short time and my daughter did not want to be without a dog in the house.
Then Rufo arrived and he changed our lives because he was so noble, that little by little he got into our hearts.
A year later Pancho arrived, he was the only male that had the puppy and we asked for him.
Pancho was a dog with a totally opposite attitude to Rufo, he didn't like children, he wanted all the attention to be on him always and he always slept on top of his father Rufo.
The two puppies got the tick disease and we always had them under treatment, they were fine but sometimes they had attacks which were controlled.
However, when the political and emotional crisis arrived to my country Venezuela and we had to quickly take our youngsters (my children) out of their land, I remember that three months after my daughter left home and said goodbye to her doggy loves, Rufo fell ill, he could not stand on his paws, he did not want to eat and his organs began to fail, he was like that for a week until he died.
So, Pancho was left alone with me and my husband in our home and became part of the spoiled doggy son, he had the whole house to himself and was our companion for five years.
Everything was fine, until my husband and I decided to sell our house and also to leave our land, but taking Pancho with us was very expensive and we had to look for a family to adopt him.
It was a very painful farewell, it was like giving up another of our children, but we knew he was going to be fine, the family that adopted him loved dogs with care.
A year after leaving our country, we were informed that Pancho was sick and could no longer get up and his organs were failing, he lasted a few days and died.
For this reason I painted this picture, which is a beautiful memory in memory of Rufo and Pancho, our doggy loves. I painted it and sent it to my daughter and now she has them at home.
I hope it pleases them:
