Do you know that trust is something fragile? Yes, it fades and shatters. This is a true story of a couple who was deceived by assumptions but later rescued by the lens of the camera.
Jay and Jane were great lovers whose love and trust for each other tripled that of Romeo and Juliet. One day, Mr Jay decided to use the camera lens to build more trust and love for his dear wife to be. Hence they were already staying together for awhile, Mr Jay decided to install a camera in all corners of his house, including his bedroom and having done this, he told Jane, his wife to be that he'll be traveling for a business trip to Dubai but he'll be back in seven days time. Jane, was very excited within her but she pretended as if she wasn't comfortable with it.
The following morning, which was Monday, Mr Jay dressed up in one of his finest attires. Looking very gorgeous, shinning like the glittering eye of the ancient mariner. He called his wife to be and instructed her to take care of the house with an assurance of returning back home in seven days time. After his instructions, he entered his car and zoomed out to a nearby hotel where he lodged for his love and trust experiment.
That first night he travelled, at about 10:30 pm, there was a sound of a knock on the door. "But who could that be?" Mr Jay thought aloud. Lol and behold, it was a very tall, dark, well-dressed young man who was knocking at the door. Moments later, Jane heard the knock and opened the door. Boom! She jumped and hugged the young man and they began to kiss. (Wow! Really? But I thought Jane was faithful and trustworthy). In less than two minutes, they flew to his bedroom and they embarked on a journey, dressed like Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Eeew!! This was too disgusting for his eyes to behold. He closed his eyes leaving his ears wide opened and he began to hear the rhythm of the night paternosters echoing,"Uuuh!! Ahhh! I need more! You are the real G.O.A.T. Are you Ronaldo or Messi? " At this point, he opened his eyes to see whether she was watching football. Lol and behold, she was very far in their night excitement.
At this point, Jay was highly disappointed and he lamented, "the cruelest betrayal of man is assumption and blind trust." He could not sleep that night. He thought of rushing back home to catch them red-handed but at the same time, "she can easily say that it's a mistake. Therefore, it's important I wait and have more of it for evidence," he concluded. As a result, he decided to stay in his lodged hotel for seven days as proposed for his business trip. Even though the seven days were like seven Years to him, he finally returned home. That morning, the young man had left but the seven wonders of the seven days were hidden in the camera lens.
However, throughout his first week of return, he never had time for his wife to be, Jane; talk less of having a bed affair with her. Whereas, one faithful morning, Jane woke up and began to feel abnormal. Her body started getting hot and she began to feel feverish. At some point, she felt like vomiting. (What could be the problem? Could it be HIV or Pregnancy? Whichever be the problem, it's none of our business). Seeing these symptoms, Mr Jay decided to take her to the hospital where she'll be diagnosed. Afternoon the diagnoses, it was discovered that she was two weeks pregnant. This shocking news made her heart skipped boom! This is because she knew what happened. Mr Jay, been a very simple, calm and quiet young man, said pretentiously, " Babe, this is a good news to us. Let's rush home and open a bottle of champagne before we start the wedding plan." They both entered the car and drove home. Still, Jane was not her self but she was trying to blend in.
When they got home, Mr Jay brought out a bottle of champagne and opened it in excitement. After opening the bottle of champagne, he removed a Laptop from his bag and kept it on the table, in the middle of the parlour. He therefore began to praise and appreciate his love, Jane for her faithfulness, and love for the shortwhile they've stayed together. And BOOM! He asked, "WHO IS THE FATHER OF THAT BABY YOU'RE CARRYING?" Jane was shocked and began to shake. Her voice started cracking but she later said, "you are the father." Mr Jay, out of anger laughed sarcastically and said, " see the father of your unborn child on the laptop screen. The seven wonders of the seven days you enjoyed have been revealed through the camera lens. Enjoy your day!"
He quietly went into the bedroom to get her ready for departure. He was disappointed and heartbroken but he had to quit.
Therefore, know this and have peace: "The cruelest betrayal isn’t found in what you see, but in what you feel you have which you don't have—Always put everything to test for proof to avoid feeling betrayed.
