So last Sunday my friends invited me to volunteer as a cadette officer to handle those new first year students for the ROTC. At first I really didn't like it because we needed to wake up early for the physical conditioning, and I didn't want it because I don't usually wake up so earlly since I quit ROTC. But since they really want me to be in the formation, I agreed because I want to meet them again and to meet new cadets also.

So I wake up so early it's 4 am, and our call time is 5:30 am. And when I leave home, I was amazed at the sunrise. I didn't see the sunrise anymore because I wake up so late. Even though my class is on day, I can't see the sunrise because, yeah, I wake up so late. The sunrise was so beautiful, especially when we passed by the sea it's bad that I didn't capture it.

So when I arrived, they already formed a lign heading to our barracks to get ready for the physical conditioning, they formed lign so early I really thought I was not late, but I was wrong. The juniors accomodate me, even though my line was on the very first but becuase I was late, I was in last. When we arrived at our barracks I didnt take pictures anymore because we already called for the physical condition.

After our physical conditioning, they told us to get ready, like change clothes or eat some breakfast, so that we can be ready to meet the first year and to accommodate them, and so that we are not smelly if they meet us. So me and my friends decided to have snacks since we already ate breakfast. And after we heading back to the barracks so that we can change our clothes already.

So when the program started, we already handled the first-year students. Some of them have an idea about ROTC because they want to be an army, but because their budget is not enough to study that course, they take another course, but they want ROTC. The students that I handled are so kind and friendly we were already close even though we met once. After we teach them the basic drills, they have their seminars until 11:30 am so they need to stay. And after their seminar, they take lunch already because they need to meet their instructors at 1 pm. (The 2 pictures with logo is from CTU DANAO ROTC UNIT post)

After the program for the first-year students, we had our meeting, and then we headed back to the barracks to get some lunch. They are whole day in ROTC, but since I was a volunteer only, I don't need to go back again in the afternoon, so I already leave after that.

After this day I realize that I miss ROTC not because of the people around, but because by serving the people.
