I have always thought of being financially free, being able to carter for my needs and others around me as a result of the sophisticated wallet full of dollars in my custody but little don i understand what this actually means not until now. One of the things about live is that it doesn't just provide you with all of your wishes as you want them in a direct phase but rather it presents you with all you want in an indirect way making you to think and work it out. Using this scenario, just as you might want or desire a wooden chair, instead of life to offer you that, it rather presents trees for you. And in this case, the tree is a healthy life from there you can work things out yourself and partly your own way.
Being empowered to do things goes beyond the the natural flare of thinking and knowing what to do, it even goes beyond wishes and wants, goes beyond having the resources to do it, it all settles down to Learning. The potentials behind learning can't be settled for less or underestimated because through learning, you create in you the atmosphere and a surrounding of thinking where you can comfortably know what is right and wrong without having to taking much time. To even make decisions, you weigh it up in a balance, do some additions and subtractions, minus the probability of artifacts that might counter your result and come up not only with an answer but the right answer.
Learning, the Best Form of Empowerment
There is an old adage that says "Teach me how to catch a fish; don't catch the fish for me". It is an old saying but its meaning and implications doesn't grow old. This statement has changed a lot of thinking and route for me because at the end of the day, it is not just about the big fish you ate it is about knowing how to catch another once the need arises. During this process of learning how to catch, you learn the various navigation's, gimmicks and patterns and being with a well meaning teacher automatically gratifies your catching ability making you a fisher man.
Learning goes beyond the student replicating what the teacher has done or following strictly the way the teacher does his or her assignment. A good learner understands and finds other means through which the teacher solves a problem, follows through it while maintaining and obeying the rules guiding each step taken. It isn't just about solving a problem but about knowing the best way to solve a problem ,using a different method. Just like someone that already knows that to have a perfect drawing of a car, start from the Tyre, initiates a different method of drawing from a different beginning and still gets the drawing perfectly well.
The best form of empowerment comes from learning because through the process of learning, you detect a problem, follows through the problem to know what is required to provide a solution and then strikes a balance in your head if actually you know what it takes to solve the problem and if not, subjects yourself to more training and researches and afterwards can come through with a better solution to the problem. Empowerment comes from knowing the technical know how on how to solve a problem. Once the solution of the problem is been known by you, you are already empowered. It might not look like it at the very beginning but time will tell how good you have become when you master the solution processes and patterns.
Right now i have grown from not just thinking about a problem but learning and knowing how to solve a problem so as to reach my dream in one piece and in peace.
