This is in response to this interesting post by @resonator titled "What Tools Do We Need to Promote Hive To Communities & Organizations? What Do You Already Have To Share?"
Where he states:
Promoting Hive doesn't have to mean passionately telling everyone you meet about it! In fact, sometimes 'less is more' and letting people come to Hive on their own terms might be more effective than if they feel pressured as if you are trying a little 'too hard' to get them into some kind of financial 'club' on the internet! Having the right materials and tools at the right time, using the right language and words can be very powerful.

There is a lot of bad press about Crypto on a daily basis. There are tons of reports of how many millions of dollars are lost in Crypto scams. Do a google search on "Crypto scams" to find out.
A lot of governments are refusing to accept the fact that Crypto is here to stay and spreading false propaganda about crypto.
Only recently, the Big Techs and institutions are starting to accept Crypto as an asset class.
Add to it the technical difficulties of creating a crypto account, dealing with different keys and wallets for an ordinary non-tech person.
No wonder people are skeptical about Crypto.
My way of promoting Hive is to say nothing about Crypto or Hive and not ask them to join Hive.
Show and give them the benefits of Crypto and Hive without saying anything about Crypto or Hive, and let then enjoy and experience the benefits of Crypto or Hive first hand before they join Hive.
I will use Web2 services, which they are familiar and comfortable with, and pay fiat to pass on the benefit of Web3 which is equitable distribution of wealth without asking them to join Hive first. Then, they will become less skeptical and shed the notion of Crypto is evil and willingly ask you to help join Hive.
I came across @resonator's post through ListNerds - the online and affiliate marketing community in Hive. I have shown them how they can make their customers and list members join Hive with this post:
to both the seller's and buyer's benefit.
But you don't have to be a business owner, anyone can do it and help your friends join Hive without asking them to join Hive. For example, you can collect some old items in your house and do an online yard sale here:
