My not so Shitty Investment ( That’s what I would like to think anyway)

It has been almost around five and a half months that the pandemic has forced me to stay indoors. I was working from home for the first three months and have been on parental leave for the second half of this home-stay. It never occurred to me all this time that I needed to invest ( shitty?) on my work desk. I was going with the flow and worked on my laptop for the most part.

Then, Youtube and Instagram happened to me. I watched a couple of work desk setup videos. Those videos triggered me that I could have invested in some of the products to increase my productivity and enjoyed the work desk I have. It took me five months to finally act on it but, at least, I did it.

I bought a new gaming monitor although I am not a pro gamer. I always associate gaming products with power, efficiency and brilliance. I went for an ongoing deal and brought a gaming monitor (ASUS) with 144hz and 25 inches. That’s what I was after - the refresh rate as I was future proofing myself with this purchase. I now have a basic work-setup.

I will use this for the next five months to remain active on Hive and various other social media platforms ( I hope so but time will tell). With this purchase, I like to think that I am future ready. But, I have to do many more adjustments like cable management, laptop stands and manage various cable connectivity issues.

Let’s see If I can inject some freshness to the way I blog on Hive.I hope this is not like my shitty investment that I had a couple of years ago which I posted on hive . I will definitely use this setup more than a day unlike the fitness club membership I purchased.
