In developed countries like United States of America, Great Britain (consists of Wales, Scotland, Ireland and England), France, Italy and many more have fought through the era of cashless economy or policy. The era has started in some of the aforementioned countries above. Unlike here in Nigeria, that we do much dwell on physical cash for payment of good and services. Mostly here, we around more with cash at hand or at our disposal than we have in the bank. In lieu of this, this is what caused about the rising of insecurity in Nigeria like robbery and kidnapping. Also paved way for corrupt practices like hoarding, embezzlement, lobbying and the likes.

The security impacts that cashless policy have brought to Nigerians.

In the process to prove a case like this whether to determine if the cashless policy has improved the security challenge in Nigeria could be attached to either fiction or fact. The fiction part is that, the measure can be determined by mere layman analysis and stance while the fact part is that it's measured by professionals in the field to determine this then it could be established as fact. But truth be told, according to my own observation and analysis. One thing that have changed since the cashless policy is taking its place, the issue of kidnapping has drastically reduced. Before a day wouldn't pass without hearing the news of kidnapping most especially people that normally travel from Ilorin to Lagos State, Ilorin to the Northern parts of Nigeria and many more neighboring states.

Therefore, since the cashless policy has been introduced the insecurity of kidnapping has reduced because those that indulge in the act usually ask for ransom from the family of those they kidnap, asking their family to bring some amount of money in cash at hand because they know it's not traceable. Unlike bank transaction that's easily traceable. So this has stopped kidnapping to some extent in Nigeria currently.
