Currently, one of the problems we are being faced in Nigeria right now is the tussle between the elite and the illiterate ones where you have the literate which they can be categorised as elite. The elite in the society are people who are already conversant or familiar with cashless economy before it was originally invented in Nigeria. These set of people have been using internet banking way before now that it has become a common thing.

On the other hand, we also have the illiterate ones that have made the cashless policy to hits a stumbling block. One of the reasons is that, it's not easy to transact with them because they don't even have bank account talk less of having knowledge about digital literacy. What the elite have been trying to do is trying to have cash at hand in order to transact with them.

What's the way forward on how to pass this digital literacy to the Illiterate ones?

Sometimes ago, I talked about scenario between my Landlady and I, who sells petty food stuffs in the neighborhood. One of the ways we have been able to transact now is making use of her daughter's account number in payment for anything bought from her since there is no really much cash in circulation at the moment.

Another thing is, spending judiciously to manage the cash that you have at hand. Meaning, you don't just spend the cash you have anyhow, you know where to transact via internet banking and where to pay for your good and services through physical cash at hand. This has been the way one could cope with this present cashless policy scenerio.
