I was overjoyed and speechless after receiving a brand new laptop from my big brother @fokusnow . When he got it, he had to install some apps, and I felt he was delaying; inside me, I was like, "Do it fast and give me my laptop!" He actually helped set up some things as well, and even downloaded some important apps for me. During my graphics lessons, I needed a device that I could practice with at home, and it definitely couldn't be a phone. My big brother allowed me to take one of the desktops from his office, but the big problem was the power supply. To use the desktop, it had to be plugged in, but in my area, we have an unsteady power supply. Another problem was that the desktop, as the name suggests, was not meant to be carried around; it's not portable. Despite all these shortcomings, it was still very useful. Even though my big brother often had to use a generator so I could use it and even got me a UPS.

After my lessons ended, I still had to learn about other graphic software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I had a major issue with my phone; the screen got damaged, affecting the touch functionality, rendering it almost useless. This became a major challenge for me as I used my phone to watch online tutorials, join online lessons, and write blog posts. When the problem worsened to the extent that the phone started operating itself, I had to stop. I complained to my big brother as usual, hoping he could get me a new device. Since he had two Android phones, he gave me one. I was very excited, and to me, it was like having a new phone. The features were much greater than my good old phone. It's an Infinix 5 with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM, a 32MP AI selfie camera, a 16MP quad camera, 2.0GHz octa-core processor, 4000mAh battery, and a screen resolution of 720x1600. It has many other amazing features, but my favorite is the camera quality. It captures even the smallest elements very brightly and clearly. One of my friends even asked if I use an iPhone for my pictures, and another said my pictures look even better than those captured with an iPhone.

Despite all these amazing features, it couldn't solve some problems. For example, I can't use some graphic software like Photoshop on it, so I still had to continue using my desktop. After months of managing the desktop and dealing with the unsteady power supply, behold, my friends, the era of a new dawn! A time for a change! My big brother got me another device, and guess what it was? A LAPTOP! Friends, it's a laptop, and I'm speechless now. I was at the office on Tuesday with @marajah when he went out to get it. He didn't mention anything about it to us; he simply said he was going to check on something and would be back soon. He returned with a bag, and you could see through it and know it was a laptop inside. At first, I was skeptical and doubted if it was for me since he didn't mention anything about it to me. I also had my hopes high that it was for me. I kept peeping into his office and straining my ears to hear when he'd call me, but he didn't. So, I went home a bit sad. The next day, he kept mentioning installing apps and updating the device, which took him about 48 hours. During these hours, he didn't and never said the device was for me until I overheard him telling someone over the phone that he's kind of busy setting up a device he got for his kid sister. Instantly, I knew it was me and did a little victory dance in my head. Which other kid sister does he have other than me? All his younger sisters are grown, living at their husbands' houses with kids, except me and my immediate older sister who is currently far away from home. So, it was easy to conclude it was nobody else but ME! I can now rest and wait for him to be done. But then, the joy inside me was overwhelming, almost intoxicating, like alcohol. I had to tell mom and dad even before he told them and then pleaded with them to pretend as if I didn't say anything to them.
When he was finally done with everything, he called me and gave me a series of instructions and warnings before he handed it over to me. Finally, I thanked him and went away with my baby (my laptop). As I got home, I jumped, I shouted, I leaped up, I ran mad—name it, I did it all. I was very, very happy. "Happiness" is even an understatement; my feelings were indescribable. I was truly, incredibly excited. I kept screaming in my head, "Thank you, big bro! I love you!" The device has so many wonderful—no, WONDERFUL—specifications and features. Here are some.
