It has been a while since a post was made on the HOC account, but rest assured the effort is still alive and well and slowly growing in the background.

In this post, I share an introduce yourself template. When getting started on Hive, although it's not compulsory, it's a good idea to make an introduction post.

Ideally, the more you share, the better. Including some links to your social media accounts is a good idea.

1. Introduction
   You can use this section as an informal hello to the community and share a short overview of your introduction post.

2. Personal Background
   In this section, it's a good idea to share your location, profession, interests, and hobbies, as well as a short story about yourself. Again, like I mentioned above, it's a good idea to share as much as possible, but it's not a requirement. You don't have to give the exact address or anything like that.

3. Journey to Hive
   This section is pretty straightforward. Share your story of how you ended up here on Hive.

4. What to Expect from You on Hive
   In this section, you should talk about what you plan to do here on Hive. You can talk about what you will be posting about, or maybe you are interested in building a new community or a project on the Hive blockchain. Naturally, nothing is set in stone, and you can always change your direction or expand what your blog or Hive experience is going to be about.

5. Manners: Show some manners. Thank your readers for taking the time to check out your introduction post and for any support they offer.

6. Tags: You will notice a section for tags when you are writing your post, as well as an opportunity to post to a specific community you joined. This is very important and helps your reach. Feel free to make up your own tags or use ones that make sense. However, bear in mind that if it's not a popular tag, it's not going to help with getting your post seen by more people and potentially earning more from upvotes. We will make another post doing a deep dive on tags very soon but for now if you have any question don't hesitate to ask us in our discord or in comment on this post.
