Xian asserted in a Monday post on X that Telegram's open source and free nature make it simple for scam bots and phishing URLs to propagate among users, saying that "the Telegram ecosystem is too free."

Furthermore, Xian shares that a new method to entice users' wallets of TON has risen using Telegram Numbers that are anonymous. These numbers are very similar to phone numbers and users can make anonymous accounts on Telegram.

The blockchain security platform's founder further shared that the attackers can phish these numbers which can cause to the loss of the whole account and even the wallet connected to it.

Authorizing an independent password like two-step verification is being suggested by Xian.

Furthermore, a user on X denounced the gaming ecosystem built on Telegram stating, “this gaming ecosystem is in great conflict with Telegram’s development philosophy.”

Additionally, he said that whereas games aim to draw players "to create activity," Telegram's basis supports user privacy.

But more than simply Telegram's minigames are to blame for the rise in scams. Scammers have been using phony stablecoins on The Open Network (TON) to target cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, Bybit, MEXC, and Gate.io, according to a June 21 news report on a crypto news website.
