Murphy's Law - The Funny Side

Have you had days when you saw Murphy's Law happening in practice, perhaps to you? In any case, to someone you could observe?

Curiously, I didn't know who Murphy was (an American aerospace engineer) until today.

The "simplified" Murphy Law says: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong."

Murphy never said that... He said: "If there are two or more ways to do something and one of those results in a catastrophe, then someone will do it that way."

Conclusion: in many cases, you don't expect a scientist to say something memorable for the people; if they do, you need to change the words to make it memorable for the wider public.

And now to my little applied Murphy's Law... I'm exaggerating, not all things that could have gone wrong did, but enough did today, the kind that piss you off at first and then make you smile and outright laugh and joke about it, not something with terrible consequences.

For us, it was more of a comedy show after a while. If someone would have watched from the sidelines, they would have been quite entertained.

Do you remember the old Laurel and Hardy comedy films where they were acting clumsy (yeah, I'm that old to remember them, lol)? Well, that was us today, except we weren't acting... Pretty much everything we put our hands on, ended up down. Surprisingly, nothing got broken and we didn't have to clean up the floor... much. If that wasn't enough, we stumbled over various objects and jokingly asked them why they didn't move out of our way...

Look! AI is clumsy today too! Nothing good to pick for today's image after several attempts.

As much as I guess we had some fun over this unexpected tandem clumsiness, we thought we'd better go out before we do some irremediable damage. Plan put to action, without further incidents...

How was your day?
