Nachdem die HBO-Dokumentation “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery” ihn vor zwei Wochen als Satoshi Nakamoto geoutet haben will, muss sich der kanadische Informatiker Peter Todd verstecken.
Todd hatte wiederholt bestritten, dass er der Bitcoin-Erfinder sei und die Behauptungen des Films zurückgewiesen.
Für ihn persönlich hat die HBO-Doku nun ernsthafte Folgen. Laut einem Wired-Interview geht Todd davon aus, dass die “fortgesetzte Belästigung durch Verrückte” für ihn zu einem Normalzustand wird.
Hauptsächlich sorgt er sich aber um Auswirkungen auf seine persönliche Sicherheit, weshalb er nun abgetaucht ist.
“Es liegt auf der Hand, dass die Behauptung, gewöhnliche Menschen seien außerordentlich reich, sie Bedrohungen wie Raub und Entführung aussetzt”, sagt Todd zu seiner Flucht.
Und kritisiert den Versuch der Enthüllung des Bitcoin-Erfinders: “Die Frage ist nicht nur dumm, sie ist auch gefährlich. Satoshi wollte offensichtlich nicht gefunden werden, aus guten Gründen, und niemand sollte Leuten helfen, die versuchen, Satoshi zu finden.”

Mein persönliches Fazit:
Es scheint, dass ein möglicher Reichtum in Bitcoin nicht von Vorteil ist. Sei also vorsichtig, wem du erzählst, dass du in Kryptowährungen investierst.
Aus diesem Grund fahre ich immer noch ein altes Postauto, damit niemand in meinem Umfeld vermutet, dass ich bald finanziell unabhängig bin. 😇😉

After the HBO documentary "Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery" claimed to have outed him as Satoshi Nakamoto two weeks ago, Canadian computer scientist Peter Todd has to go into hiding.
Todd had repeatedly denied that he was the Bitcoin inventor and rejected the film's claims.
The HBO documentary now has serious consequences for him personally. According to a Wired interview, Todd believes that the "continued harassment by crazy people" will become a normal state for him.
But he is mainly concerned about the impact on his personal safety, which is why he has now gone underground.
"It is obvious that claiming that ordinary people are extraordinarily rich exposes them to threats such as robbery and kidnapping," says Todd about his escape.
And criticizes the attempt to expose the Bitcoin inventor: "The question is not only stupid, it is also dangerous. Satoshi obviously did not want to be found, for good reasons, and no one should help people trying to find Satoshi."

My personal conclusion:
It seems that potential wealth in Bitcoin is not an advantage. So be careful who you tell that you are investing in cryptocurrencies.
This is why I still drive an old postal van so that no one around me suspects that I will soon be financially independent. 😇😉
