One month ago I did post regarding staking and how rewarding this is over a period of time. Hive is a prime example of how staking really benefits those that are doing this due to the fact there are extra rewards or streams on offer compared to a normal staking crypto. Most cypto staking is based on a set APR and that is that whereas HIVE has staking and curation.
Curation is rewards earned via voting other content on Hive whether it is a post or a comment/reply which is worth anywhere between 8 and 10%. If we consider the APR that is currently at a staggering 3.36% and when combined our stake could generate anywhere between 11% and 14%.
Like I have mentioned before I tend to keep things simple and judge my HIVE growth by the values it offers and why I select the HIVE vote to gauge the growth. You could just monitor your HIVE Power but this does not tell you that much besides the number increasing.
The HIVE vote value tells you what you are worth and what you will be earning via your curation. This is the support you are offering others whilst also benefitting at the same time.
1 month ago my vote value was worth 6.29 HIVE so on a 50/50 payout for curation this would equate to a value of 3.145 HIVE per 100% vote. 10 maximum votes per day would bring in 31.45 HIVE and is simple enough to work out. Over the last 4 weeks this has grown ever so slightly to 6.39 HIVE or 3.195 which is thus 31.95 HIVE daily earned via curation give or take.
This may sound like nothing looking at these figures, but over a 30 day period this equates to an extra 15 HIVE earned which is 15 HIVE more than I was earning last month. Now do this over a 12 month period and the overall growth would work out to earning an extra 180 HIVE monthly in one years time. Some months are better than others when it comes to earning and why I no longer have targets in place as this figure relies entirely on the community support and can never be taken for granted.
When people realise how important the stake is for your overall growth the better they will do long term as this takes years to get to this type of growth. The sooner you start this process the sooner you will see the growth take shape and this happens rather quickly. Have patience and think long term which will over time teach you how to grow.
