Playing in the Modern Format

Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.

After playing in the Wild Format using the Wild Pass, it seems like I am not earning anything as most of the money is been spent on the Wild Pass itself. Other thing is to get the money every season for the Wild Pass is also getting tough as I have the liquidity issue. So now, from the last 2 season I have started playing in the modern format. Yes the earning dropped significantly but still I tend to master the format and climb just like I have climbed in the Wild Format.

As you might know that to play in the Wild Format, we have to buy the Wild Pass for 2K DEC and thus we have to buy it in every season. As the Wild Pass expires after evert season. So that means you have to get 2K DEC every season to play in the Wild category.

I am also thinking of giving my older cards on rent, and thus whatever money I will generate can be used to buy new cards in the Modern format. I have not decided it yet, but looks like that's a viable option to explore. Now coming back to the Modern Format, I am struggling to win more matches and that's I think ok as I am learning to use most of my modern cards for winning.

Like even though in the Wild Format, I used to easily reach the Gold level, here in Modern format I am not reaching even the Silver. So the winning is quite tough, but I am continuing playing so that I will get better with the cards and eventually get to the next level. Now coming to the Glint rewards, I am focusing on the Rare cards and thus I tend to open the Rare Draw itself. And this has helped to gain more Rare cards in my list so that I can atleast win with those cards.
