When they wear branded Tshirt and snap picture, When the Headlines are buzzing, When they start paying influencers, When they start paying billboards, When they start making noise everywhere, When their ads are running all over Twitter (now X) When they start shouting about how much they raised and app downloads, but never about profits And they finally ask you to invest one kobo Press your Red Alert Button And Remember to Halt and ask all the right questions.
- Ask for the Board of Directors
- Ask for the last audited accounts and by what Firm
- Ask for quality of risk management
- Ask for the experience and pedigree of the Founders
- Ask for what the money they are raising is used for
- Ask for their SEC license
- Ask and read every single line in the investment contract. There are hidden clauses that you need to see.
- Dig into the past of the Founders
If these boxes do not tick off, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE !!!! If they like, let them wear all the Tshirts on earth and pay all the headlines on earth and take up all the billboards - RUN, IF THE BOXES DO NOT TICK OFF. They know that people fall for PR and Branding. They know so Stop falling for those. Anyone can pay for those. Stop falling and Ask the deeper questions. Heavy investment in PR and Branding is their game plan to hunt you down and reap you. Build an armour that PR and Branding cannot penetrate.
Of course if they are offering a product or service, without asking you to invest your money, please check them out and use them if they fit for your needs. But once investment is involved, throw away all their PR and think straight blacktarri has warned you oooo. I have been a victim oooo. It is such a sad experience that you can never forget. Never let yourself get there and always make sure to not rush too fast and ask questions just so you get saved by someone should Incase you get too cut up with such situation.
