It's been two weeks since I last reviewed a movie for you guys, and I though it's about time to make another one!
In my last blog I mentioned that the dish I was making was planed as a part of movie night, with a glass of vine. I never thought it would take two glasses to make it to the end of this movie.
I saw that Bruce Willis is staring and thought:
This should be a good one!

The Plot:
As imagined Bruce will act in some kind of action movie and I appreciate it. The Earth is coming to it's end, humans are leaving it in search of better planet. Last ship from Earth is going in to space as the movie begins.
We are introduced to a couple in love, with a baby on the way. She turns out to be the daughter of some big shot guy, and he ends up being a janitor on the flight. Almost all the passengers are put in to deep slumber, including the pregnant girl, while some crew members stay awake to maintain the ship until it gets to New Earth.
Things start to get complicated when they realize that they are not alone on the ship and there is a hostile alien on board. This alien takes bodies of humans, it's victims and turns them in to something like zombies on a killing spree.
The alien is taking crew members one by one, spreading like some kind of infection. They seam impossible to kill and no weapon on board is strong enough. Considering the year in the movie is 2200 something, you would expect to see some androids, laser guns or something innovating. But they end up killing the alien with some bathroom cleaning acid.
Why and how was this movie made?
I will go in to details later. Janitor saves the day, hooray! But not before the majority of the crew was turned in to zombie-aliens, messing with the reactor fueling the ship, making a new alien from body parts and more "interesting" plots.
My opinion:
If you didn't realize by now, this is by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and I saw some bad movies. I have nothing against B production, but a movie with Bruce being this bad, that I can't accept.
The plot had it's potential, it's not a first alien movie for sure, but there was a good idea with the alien making it's victims a bit like zombies. I love zombie movies and anything related always has my attention. But the making of this movie is so utterly bad and superficial it's hard to watch.
I wanted to give up several times, but the food was good and we had vine, so we made it a comedy night. Literally laughing our but off over how exhausting the acting is, how poorly the set was made. It was like it's going to fall apart and kill everyone on the set, and still it would be a best part of the movie.
"Why Bruce, why?"
I was so disappointed with his acting and willingness to be a part of such a bad movie. I remember his movies from before, and sure there are better actors, but this was unnecessary move in his career. How did he allow himself to be a part of this disgrace, it baffled me.
Other actors didn't help the movie either, because it was poorly acted all around. As if there truly was a virus that made them all incapable of performing or they just had to fit in. Regardless of the budget they had for this movie, it could have been made way better.
Don't waste your time on it, except you have the desire to laugh for it's failures. Let me know if you watched it and make a suggestion what should I watch next to fix the bad taste this movie left.
