Metal lords es una película la cual se estreno el 8 de abril de este mismo año (2022). Su genero es drama, enfocado en la parte musical. Como amante del metal me llamo la atención el nombre de este film, así que me anime a verlo. La trama comienza con dos adolescentes de secundaria, uno llamado Hunter que es el metalero frenético y Kevin, un chico que trata de encajar en algún lugar. Ambos son mejores amigos, pero Kevin realmente no tiene mucho conocimiento sobre el metal, asi que Hunter le da varias clases en las cuales le menciona muchas bandas de este genero en las cuales están: Black Sabbath, Sepultura, Pantera, Slayer, Dio, Megadeth, entre otras. Básicamente Hunter le escribe una lista para que Kevin se nutra y escuche este genero musical, con el fin de que ambos creen un banda de metal.

As a metal lover, the name of this film caught my attention, so I decided to watch it. The plot starts with two high school teenagers, one named Hunter who is the frenetic metalhead and Kevin, a kid trying to fit in somewhere. Both are best friends, but Kevin doesn't really have much knowledge about metal, so Hunter gives him several classes in which he mentions to him many bands of this genre in which are: Black Sabbath, Sepultura, Pantera, Slayer, Dio, Megadeth, among others. Basically Hunter writes a list for Kevin to nourish himself and listen to this musical genre, so that they both create a metal band.
Hunter teniendo un padre adinerado, cuenta con la fortuna de tener varias guitarras eléctricas. En cambio Kevin no, así que Hunter decide robarle la tarjeta de crédito a su padre y le compra una batería a su amigo para que este aprenda a tocar sin ningún problema. Durante lasa horas de receso Kevin pone manos a la obra para aprender a tocar la batería, así que se enfoca en ello. Cabe destacar que este chico tuvo que entrar a la banda de la escuela como una actividad extracurricular y allí conoce a una chica que le llamo la atención.
Hunter, having a wealthy father, is fortunate enough to have several electric guitars. But Kevin doesn't, so Hunter decides to steal his father's credit card and buys his friend a drum set so that he can learn to play without any problems. During the hours of recess Kevin puts his hands to work to learn to play the drums, so he focuses on it. It should be noted that this boy had to join the school band as an extracurricular activity and there he meets a girl who caught his attention.
In high school the other kids labeled Hunter and Kevin as weirdos because they listened to this genre of music. So as in every school there is a group of popular and rebellious kids, which made life impossible for both but especially Hunter since he was always looking for revenge. Kevin, still delighted with the girl he met, approached her and got her to talk to him, but what he did was to tell her about metal, but she was totally unaware of this genre. But the girl was left with the doubt so she immediately decides to investigate, and after meeting again with Kevin he proposes her to be part of the band, she hesitates but in the end accepts.
Entusiasmado, Kevin la lleva con Hunter y este al observar que es una chica y aparte chelista se negó rotundamente, debido a que esta le quitaría la rudeza a la banda. Pasaron las semanas y Kevin comienza a salir con la chica (Emily). Este se enfoca mas en su nueva relación así que Hunter comienza detestar a Emily ya que siente que esta simplemente es una distracción para Kevin.
Enthusiastic, Kevin takes her to Hunter and Hunter, observing that she is a girl and a cellist, flatly refuses, because she would take away the rudeness of the band. Weeks go by and Kevin starts dating the girl (Emily). He focuses more on his new relationship and Hunter begins to detest Emily as he feels that she is simply a distraction for Kevin.
Hunter se entera que se aproxima una batalla de bandas en la secundaria así que enseguida inscribe a su banda, e inicia una audición para encontrar a aun bajista ya que les hacia mucha falta pero mueren en el intento. Así que en ultima instancia Hunter termina aceptando a Emily como parte de la banda. Llega el día de la batalla de las bandas, todos se preparan para este día pero solo concursan dos bandas la de metal que por cuestiones de percances le dieron el nombre de "flor de carabela" y sus contrincantes eran una banda que cantaban pop. Al final como era de esperarse el publico voto y lamentablemente flor de carabela pierde, pero les queda esa gran experiencia de haberse convertido en un banda reconocida por la secundaria.
Hunter learns that a battle of the bands is coming up at the high school so he immediately signs up his band, and starts an audition to find a bass player because they really need one, but they die trying. So Hunter ultimately ends up accepting Emily as part of the band. The day of the battle of the bands arrives, everyone prepares for this day but only two bands compete, the metal band that due to mishaps was called "flor de carabela" and their opponents were a band that sang pop. In the end, as expected, the public voted and unfortunately flor de carabela lost, but they were left with the great experience of having become a band recognized by the high school.

Este es un film bastante entretenido, ideal para disfrutar en familia. Cuenta con varias escenas chistosas, al inicio pensé que iba a ser algo aburrida pero la verdad supero mis expectativas. Si quieren saber por que Hunter es un metalero frenético, el por que tuvieron que cambiar el nombre de la banda y la tragedia que sucedió en la batalla de las bandas, pues les recomiendo que vayan a verla.
This is a very entertaining film, ideal to enjoy with the family. It has several funny scenes, at the beginning I thought it was going to be a little boring but the truth exceeded my expectations. If you want to know why Hunter is a frenetic metalhead, why they had to change the name of the band and the tragedy that happened in the battle of the bands, I recommend you to go see it.
