Notebooks and Navigations

Welcome back! dear readers. It's me again, ylaruj. Welcome to our another family adventure. Today's blog is about our recent adventure in Bogo CiTy. As the school year approaches, we embarked on stocking up some school supplies for my kids and for myself.

The night before we traveled to Bogo, I announced to my kids that we were going there to buy some school supplies. If we purchased during the opening of the classes, mostly what would happen is that school supplies were out of stock or expensive. They were too happy upon hearing my words.

Honestly speaking we seldomly travel, and I guess that's the main reason why my kids acted like this as we are travelling to Bogo in a bus. Peering out of the bus windows and get fascinated by the passing scenery till they said they were dizzy and like to vomit.

We travelled for how many minutes, and we arrived at Bogo. We got off at the bus stop and then rode on a tricycle going to J@L. My plan was to buy our school supplies there because someone said that they are selling cheap items. However, when I tried to stop the tricycle in front of the facility, it turns out that we couldn't stop there. So we ended up getting off in front of Super Metro. I feel a bit shy to the driver but I said to myself that he does not know me personally so it's okay 🤣. Sometimes I visit Bogo market but only to buy some items for our barbecue business and go home straight after.

So we need to walked back again to J@L. Sometimes our plans take an unexpected turn I guess 😅.

We reached the front of J@L, and there was a lovely music playing in the mall and my kids can't resist their selves dancing.

We are at the mall' entrance, my kids hesitate to enter, because they were unsure which way to pass, is it left or right. This was a humourous moment but just I told them to pass on the right side and don't mind the guard.

Inside the mall, we go straight to the bag section and to take a look at the bags there. If we find something that is of good quality and affordable, I will purchased it for them. But since the bag that they liked was expensive so we withdraw ourselves in that section, and said to myself that I will comeback again soon and start to save up inorder to buy those bags for them.

We went to the school supplies section after, where notebooks were displayed. We check the prices of each notebook.

After quite sometimes of critically examining the prices of each pile of notebooks in the stand, I decided to buy my son a packed of 10 notebooks and the price for each notebook is 18 pesos. I bought 3 pieces for myself and 7 writing notebooks for my daughter.

Then we went to the ballpen section, examining each price tag and testing each ballpens on the paper that the mall provided for the purchasers.

I picked 6 ballpens for myself which cost 5 pesos each. It has a beautiful design and it writes well. I also buy 6 pieces for my son . And some pencils for my daughter.

Just a random pic of my kids inside the mall. They are too happy that they experience this kind of camaraderie.

Prices have really gone up these days, they have changed significantly overtime. Before if you had 1000 pesos, you can buy many things, but now, with your one thousand pesos you can purchase minimal amount of things. It seems like that our 1 thousand pesos 2was spend like a hundred pesos today. When money was broken into smaller denominations, it tends to disappear quickly. This is the receipt of our purchased items.

After we buy our basic essentials for this school year open and eat in one of the fast food chain there we head home. We rode in a tricycle going to the bus stop where we rode on a bus going home. I was fascinated that the tricycle we rode had a seatbelt. My daughter tried using it and the driver teased her that it will not be removed and she will become his "konduktor".

Arrived at the bus stop, my son not feeling good after all the rides we had.

When we finally rode on the bus, since I payed only two sits, my son told me that he would just sit under the bus chair near the window and let her sister sit properly so that he can stop his urge to vomit. Time flies so quickly I can tell, because before when we travel, he was not included in the bus fare but now his fare was equivalent to that of an adult.

Our Bogo trip was a delightful mix of ignorance, surprises and laughters. As we board on the bus back home, I can't help but recount our experience that day. For some people they are used to this kind of experience but for us this seldomly happens, it is a luxury for us. As a mother , I am too happy that at least I make them experience those things. This serve as also a great reminder for them to study harder and finish their studies, so that they can experience the things they have not experience, explore new place they haven't explore when they were young.

I will end my blog here and see you on another blog post. Stay tuned for more stories and thank you for joining us on our journey. Have a good day everyone.
