New Large-Scale Fire at Oil Depot in Rostov Region: Evidence of Drone Attack Emerges

Residents of the Rostov region in Russia are actively sharing visual content on social media, confirming another massive fire at an oil depot. The fire has been reported in the Kamensky district, adding to the already concerning situation in Proletarsk.

Eyewitnesses noted that the fire started after a loud explosion during the night between August 27 and 28. Russian Telegram channels suggest that this may have been a drone attack, as reported by Channel 24, though local authorities, represented by the governor, claim that four UAVs attacked the Rostov region but were all shot down.

It is currently known that several powerful explosions occurred in the Rostov region between 2 and 3 a.m. Despite the operation of Russia's air defense system, it appears that its effectiveness left much to be desired.

Shortly after the explosions, local residents began reporting flashes and fires in the area of the oil depot near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky. Explosions were also heard in Novoshakhtinsk, Aksai, and even in Rostov itself.

Later, videos emerged showing the scale of the fire at the "Glubokinskaya" oil depot in the Kamensky district, located in the northeast of the Rostov region, near the occupied part of Luhansk. The fire is becoming increasingly severe, and its consequences could be extremely dangerous for both the region and the environment.

The situation remains tense, with details of the incident still being clarified. Local authorities have yet to provide official comments on the causes and extent of the damage, but it is already clear that the situation demands immediate attention.
