Many people write to me from different countries, asking how I am here, what is happening here? It's simple - war. The army of a neighboring, once friendly, state treacherously attacked my country. The war has been going on for 8 years, since the beginning of the occupation of Crimea, but now the Russians have thrown all their forces into battle along all our borders.
Invaders shell cities, kill civilians. In fact, their goal is the complete destruction of the Ukrainian people and Ukraine as a country. There are no compromises and they do not agree to any negotiations (except for demands to surrender). Russia is incapable of negotiating, and what kind of agreements can be with the Nazis and bastards who kill your friends?
My friends and acquaintances are now either fighting in territorial defense, or volunteering for the Ukrainian army or civilians, or saving their children and elderly parents, taking them to (relatively) safe western regions and abroad. Every day I receive messages asking for help with housing in Lviv, where I am now, a little bit volunteering (much less than I would like to do in this situation). Not all of my acquaintances have a connection, and I don’t even know if they are alive and I can’t help in any way.
Millions of Ukrainians lost their homes (some not only temporarily while war is going, but literally, their homes were bombed and destroyed), their peace, their well-being, and many even their lives, dying from shelling.
This is a war not only against us, but against the whole world. If the Putin regime in Ukraine is not stopped, it will go further, destroying and killing everything in its path. A crazy monkey with a nuclear button has endangered, without exaggeration, all of humanity.
The sky over Ukraine should be closed. The planes and missiles of the invaders must be shot down by the forces of any civilized country. Or they will bomb our nuclear plants here, continue to wipe out cities with the entire population, and arrange (already arranging) the largest humanitarian catastrophe, which may not have happened even during the Second World War. The regime ruling Russia must be destroyed by all possible means, or the world will have no future other than a post-apocalyptic one.
