Leaving Cardiff behind, I began my short but memorable city break with a journey to Birmingham Airport, en route to the vibrant capital of Germany—Berlin. The flight itself was a breeze, but what awaited me in Berlin was far more captivating than I had anticipated.

Though I was in the city for work, I found plenty of time to explore its rich history and culture. From the striking Brandenburg Gate to the remnants of the Berlin Wall, the city seemed to tell stories at every turn. A visit to Museum Island was another highlight, as its impressive museums and galleries house art and artefacts that left me in awe.

Berlin’s culinary scene also did not disappoint. I dined in some of the city’s finest restaurants, experiencing a fusion of traditional German cuisine with modern twists. Each meal felt like a celebration of the city’s diversity and creativity.

Overall, my three days in Berlin were a perfect blend of work and leisure. The beauty of the city, its history, and the culinary delights made the trip one I won’t soon forget. It’s a place I’d happily return to, even if just for another fleeting visit.
