Hello everyone,
It's been a long time since I last posted and due to some personal reasons I've had to take a break from Hive altogether for a while.
I am now again able to spend more time on Hive though and like I said before I wanna get back to posting more. I have been taking a lot more photos lately which is another thing I wanted to do. I think I am starting to get a bit better at it but still need some practice. Anyway, let's get to the post!
So after Cambodia, I made it to Vietnam where I started my journey in Hanoi. I spent some time there and it was amazing. The city itself is beautiful and there are so many cool things to visit and do that the days fly by. When I first got there I took a walk around and found this cool park. One thing I noticed immediately was the insane heat there. It was so much hotter than Bangkok had been.
They have amazing food there too and I ate a bunch of Pho and Banh Mi. The coffee is something else there too. It was easily the best coffee I've ever had. I just loved it.
This place is in the middle of the lake in the first photo and there is a temple you can check out. There is a mythical turtle in this lake and the temple is dedicated to it. After the park, I decided to go check out one of the Museums which was very interesting. They have a lot of museums in Hanoi. My favorite was probably the Hoa Lo prison museum which when it was active had the nickname "Hanoi Hilton".
There are a few places where you will find these train tracks going through the city. Looks like it has to be pretty tight once the train comes. They have these in a few places though and you can also find them in Bangkok.
The next day I decided to go to museums again.
They have quite a few museums dedicated to war here and if you are interested in that kinda stuff you will love it in Hanoi. They have a lot of Vietnamese and of course also American planes and helicopters.
I still had my old phone when I took these photos which I upgraded soon after so please bear with me. The quality will improve soon. Hanoi was honestly amazing and traveling through these incredible cities and countries has been the time of my life. I will keep posting more from every place I visit so you can all join me on these travels.
That was Hanoi and I would recommend anyone to come to visit because you'll have an amazing time. The food is incredible and you'll quickly become addicted to a good Banh Mi. The coffee is to die for and the people are super friendly. In the evenings you can head out to the bar street and enjoy some Bia Hoi which is a beer that they brew daily. Very popular here and most of all cheap.
Next up I will be going to Da Nang which is in central Vietnam and we will visit some amazing places there too so stay tuned for that. Thanks again for checking out my post and I really hope you like it. See you next time!
Peace out, Straw
