Hello fellow Hive adventurist! How are you today? Feeling great? Hoping for a fine health for everyone as we continue to venture our daily tasks. It's a long weekend here in the Philippines for we had our Election Day and the observance of All Souls' and All Saints' Day so we had that extra time to unwind after a heavy day. Spending quality time with our family and friends will always be our top priority. For today, I will be showing you one of my unforgettable camping experience in Soul Sierra located in Busay, Cebu City.
With a lot of unforgettable things happening lately in my life. Recharging and immersing in nature will surely gives me healing and peace of mind. What I did, I look for a place to stay and forget all the sorrows and pain felt. As I was scrolling in my Facebook account, I unintentionally got to see the post from the site saying "Soul Camp". The moment I've read the post, my heart knows I needed it the most.
Without a second thought I message the page and make a reservation. Good enough I made to book it on time.
I never had any idea on where to go for this place, so making the google maps useful, I took the chance to waze the place before going up. Luckily, it wasn't that far, 25mins. from JY Lahug is not that far.
I took my friend with me to accompany me to the place, eventually she agreed. Having a friend to listen to your stories and hearing your sentiments is also an advantage.
We arrived in the place at exactly 5:50 in the afternoon. Good enough, we had some campers with us who also booked for soul camp.
At the entrance gate, the staff will greet you wide open and asked your name. You can also see the wide parking space of the place at the entrance. Before the shuttle arrived, I took the opportunity to take picture at the entrance. The colorful lights surrounded the name of the place makes it more attractive.
Together with other campers, the shuttle will give us a free ride in going up and down from the campsite. It took 2 to 3 mins. going to the top where the campsite is located.
Sitting in front witnessing this amazing lights, and hearing the sounds of the crickets make it enjoyable and fun. Despite the struggles and pain felt, seeing this decoration of lights at the top eases it a bit.
As we were preparing the tents, the madness sound of the thunder and lightning above gives us the signal that the rain is coming. I wish it would not rain so that we will enjoy the rest of the night, but to no avail. The rain pours heavily!
For about an hour the rain poured into the tent and the continuous heavy lightning could be seen clearly. My heart pumps! And overthink everything again. One wish I wanted in mind, "to make it stop and enjoy the night" hoping to stay longer and being at peace. Gladly, yes, I was granted! The rain stops eventually and the lightning slowly disappeared.
In the morning, I got up so early and took the chance to see the sunrise on the top. It's always a great feeling to see the sunrise here. Though its a little bit cloudy but the smilling sun goes up slowly and belittle the cloudy clouds.
I also had the chance to took some pictures on what its look like in the campsite. As first-timer attending and going out for a camp, I guess the place is not that bad. The wide space here will accommodate atleast a number of campers who wish to have an overnight stay.
They also had some tents at the corner if campers will be experiencing heavy rains like what happened last night. If you had your food ready with you, they also offer tables and chairs for group gatherings. It was not that difficult for us to eat in the place because they provide tables and chairs for campers.
Going up and down the camping site gives a feeling of satisfaction. You got to walk down for a little while in case you need to go for the comfort rooms and you need to climb up again to go to your tents ready.
If you had your babies with you, I suggest you rent the tepee house for Php1500 or 26.91 USD good for an overnight stay. It's because its too cold up there during the midnight which is too hard for babies. It's for you to enjoy the night view with your family yet, you bring the whole family in the camp without leaving them. A dual purpose.
Seeing the wonderful view of the campsite in the morning is a great feeling. Watching the green grasses around and the beautiful array of Mayana plants which radiates beautifully to us. A healing to my inner peace.
There are things in life that we may not appreciate at all. Having this simple camping site makes me realize a lot of things. Learn to appreciate the people behind you, the blessings received, and friends who is always on your side no matter what happen.
Life is full of surprises. We may not know what will happen the next minute or days to come. Let's enjoy and spend quality time to the people who made us laugh and exchange positive thoughts. Enjoy every minute and avoid negativities that may rise upon. Know that life is too short to argue and to fight against one another. Let's enjoy whatever things are coming along the ways.
That's all for today my good friends in Hive.
Have a nice day everyone! 😊
