Hey Everyone!
How's your weekend? mine was filled with tiredness and happiness at the same time as we successfully planted trees.
Last August 17, 2024, we conducted our 2nd tree planting event this year which we held in Brgy. Mahabang Parang Angono, Rizal.
76 volunteers planted 500 seedlings composed of fruit-bearing trees like Kape or coffee tree, Rambutan, and Guaple or Guava-apple, and also planted hardwood trees like Narra and Tuay.
Aside from volunteers, there are a lot of groups and local government units that help us in this event to be successful.
Salute and Big shout to them;
Local Governent Unit (LGU)
- Angono Menro
- Eagles Inc. NCR XXV
- Office of the Vice President (OVP)
- Boyscout Philippines & Teachers from Aurora Quezon, Elementary School
- Ecology Ministry of Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Clement
- Seeds of Hope Society PH Core leaders & Volunteers
- Drivers and Guards who helped and assisted us
They have been a huge help for this successful tree planting.
Of course, we started the event with a quick program, a quick discussion, on how to plant properly and how to take care of nature.
The Planting area is so challenging aside from being open in direct heat it is also muddy and slippery as well, we need to plant seedlings from one side to another, ups and downs, and even beside the canal.
Despite the exhausting planting area we still managed to plant all the seeds that MENRO provides, the area is a slippery hill, with a lot of grass and the challenging part is we need to dig some holes because of the large number of seedlings.
So together, we divided the tasks while others were digging in the ground some of them were starting to plant so everyone played a crucial role.
I'm so proud of this family, they taught their daughter to plant at a young age, and I have seen her plant a bunch of seedlings she's truly amazing; Our little beautiful eco-warrior.
Kudos to these Boy Scouts they didn't even hesitate to plant several seedlings, I can't see them rest until the job is done. They are so energetic and disciplined. They are fully aware of what they are doing; Just like soldiers with a mission that needs to be accomplished!
It was indeed a successful tree planting event and I'm sure that we wouldn't make it without these volunteers. So grateful for them these people are indeed have huge hearts. Kudos!
Sweat, tiredness, and time are all worth it! We are so happy that we have another tree to be monitored, I hope that this is not the last, until there are trees that are cut we are still here to plant more. We will protect the nature, the future, and the Mother Earth!
That's it for today, thank you for reading!
Keep safe everyone :)
