Torre Di Palme (city of Fermo) A day between balconies overlooking the sea and magical alleys

Hello my friend, today I take you to discover a village that has become an icon of the Marche region over time due to its historic and famous balconies which today also house restaurants and pizzerias, as well as for its wonderful alleys!!

All contents and photos are my property, taken by me during one of my visits to this beautiful village!!!

This is Torre Di Palme, a small village that in the past was also a town hall by itself but is now part of the town hall of the city of Fermo.
The village has about 600 inhabitants!!

Let's start to discover the village ... come with me !!!

Going south along the state road 16 it is not difficult to see the town as it is on the right at the top and both the state road and the A14 motorway pass right under this town.

It is also nice to walk the surrounding roads in the beautiful countryside to have a view of the village.

In the surroundings of the village you can also buy excellent organic products produced in the area by the locals such as oil and wine

Going south along the road you will find the sign on the right that indicates the way to the town, you pass under a bridge and take some uphill curves before you are near the village.

Arriving at the entrance you can easily leave your car in the free parking area located on the right under the ancient walls of the town and decide whether to climb the stairs that lead under a beautiful tower or start the path from the entrance of the main and central street of the town. and then follow it all, as I like to do and as I did.

The entrance at the beginning of the village that I have traveled allows entry even to people with disabilities as they do not have stairs 😉

Once you leave the car outside the pedestrian area, the exploration begins ... immediately you realize how the village handed down history and how the whole town is very guarded and renovated by the inhabitants or by those who own a house here.

You go along the main street of the village just as wide as a car, I decide to first walk the central and main street, stopping to visit the secular churches until you reach the end of the street at the most famous balcony of the village and among the most famous in all the Marche region and the coast of the Adriatic Sea.

Continuing straight towards the sea you will find on the left a panoramic area where most of the restaurants and pizzerias are concentrated, on the right some clubs and the slightly more historic part with a centuries-old building, a tower part of the ancient walls ... all always with wonderful views of the sea up to see the coast of Mount Conero, the cities of Porto San Giorgio and other places on the coast.

The views I have seen in this village can hardly be had in other countries here in the area.

And which side do you prefer? I can't choose ... everything is beautiful here, you can be enchanted by observing the views or relaxing in the village .... the whole country is beautiful

The typical streets often have arches inside and are embellished with plants and flowers.

The arches unite the houses, they are beautiful human works and the human today keeps them alive by keeping them well, renovated and very well preserved.

Turning through the alleys gives you a unique atmosphere, peace combined with beauty puts you in a good mood.

Along the main street you will find the only bar in the town, a historic bar that years ago only offered a snack, a drink or an ice cream while today it offers various things including delicious aperitifs to be enjoyed in this village where it seems to be stuck at 500 Years ago.

In the village there is also a tobacco shop and some B&B rooms.

In summer the village also offers evening markets and restaurants and pizzerias give you the opportunity to dine with a unique view.

During this walk you can notice, as often in villages with little car traffic, the cute kittens that animate the streets of the town undisturbed.
Loved by the inhabitants who leave them water and food, they will accompany you on your visit to the village without getting too close but still keeping you company ... how beautiful and what peace !!!!

One of the most recognizable parts of Torre Di Palme is undoubtedly the balcony overlooking the sea at the end of the main street where binoculars have also been installed to enjoy a wonderful view, the balcony is rarely empty, you often meet someone who he goes to see whether they are couples looking for a romantic place or just tourists.
Spectacular!!!

As I told you, if you would like to eat while enjoying the beautiful panorama of this village, no problem, in fact, especially in the last decades, several restaurants and pizzerias have been born here, you just have to choose what panorama you want to see and what you would like to eat.

It is wonderful to eat something and then take a nice walk through the enchanted streets of the village of Torre Di Palme.

To visit with a walk of 2 kilometers from the village there are the Cugnolo wood and the Lovers' cave, paths in the middle of nature that are part of a nature reserve
In conclusion: I recommend if you happen to be in the Marche Region or if you take the road in these areas to stop and pay a visit to TORRE DI PALME😉♥️
