Santa Rosa Neighborhood
There are many hidden places in our capital city, although I have lived in Caracas for many years, I do not know all its corners, my steps are always directed to the center and east of the city, in the time I have been working on the page of Hive, I have been motivated, to travel the city openly to bring you those forgotten spaces, which have their beauty and charms. These days going to a health center that is located in the area where I live, as it was early and the morning was cool to walk without haste, I dared to change the path and I went into a neighborhood I had never visited.

Barrio Santa Rosa
Hay muchos lugares escondidos en nuestra ciudad capital, aunque vivo en Caracas desde hace muchos años, no conozco todos sus rincones, siempre mis pasos están dirigidos al centro y este de la ciudad, en el tiempo que llevo trabajando en la página de Hive, me he visto motivada, a recorrer la ciudad sin tapujos para traerles esos espacios olvidados, que tienen su belleza y encantos. En estos días yendo a un centro de salud que se encuentra en el sector donde yo vivo, como era temprano y la mañana estaba fresca para caminar sin apuros, me atreví a cambiar el sendero y me adentré a un barrio que nunca había visitado.
I was surprised by its organization. Its alleys are kept very clean, the facades of the houses one after another let you see its charm by the different colors and shades, most of them protected with their snow-white wooden doors. Something that caught my attention is a written card, attached to one side of the walls and each one with a different legend. It is extremely original and beautiful to me, the way one house differs from the other. As I approached, this legend makes it clear to the people who come as tourists, so that they know who lives in each house and the job they perform in their daily lives.
Quedé sorprendida por su organización. Sus callejones se mantienen muy limpios, las fachadas de las casas unas tras otra dejan ver su encanto por los diferentes colores y matices, la mayoría resguardadas con sus puertas de madera blanca como la nieve. Algo que me llamó mucho la atención, es una ficha escrita, pegada a un costado de sus paredes y cada una, con leyenda diferente. Es sumamente original y hermosa para mí, la forma como se diferencia una casa de la otra. Al acercarme, esta leyenda deja claro para las personas que vienen como turista, para que conozcan quién convive en cada casa y el oficio que desempeñan en su vida cotidiana.

For example, if someone needs the services of a nurse who lives in the community, their front door very subtly says “Here lives a Nurse,” another will say “Here lives a Carpenter,” “Here lives a Loving Mother,” “Here lives a Musician,” or “Here lives a Seamstress,” and so on.
Se pudiera decir que es, como un censo, de esta manera se identifica al vecino o propietario del inmueble. Por ejemplo, si alguna persona necesita los servicios de alguna enfermera que viva en la comunidad, su puerta de entrada muy sutilmente dice “Aquí vive una Enfermera”, en otra dirá “Aquí vive un Carpintero”, “Aquí vive una Madre Amorosa,” “Aquí vive un Músico”, o “Aquí vive una Costurera”, y así sucesivamente.
When I passed by, the neighborhood looked very lonely, I confess, I was a little afraid to take out my cell phone. But as you walk and you get into its strangeness, you perceive the fraternity of its inhabitants, I could notice early in the morning, the fast pace of some people to get to their jobs. With a smile and a good morning greeting, they would stop to greet me cordially and give me a warm welcome.
Cuando pasé por ahí, el barrio se veía muy solo, les confieso, tenía algo de temor para sacar mi celular. Pero a medida que vas caminando y te adentras en sus extrañas, vas percibiendo, la fraternidad de sus habitantes, pude notar por lo temprano, el paso rápido de algunas personas para llegar a sus trabajos. Con una sonrisa y el saludo de buenos días, paraban la marcha para saludarme cordialmente y darme una bienvenida calurosa.
So, one judges the neighborhoods as an enclosure where you can not live together because chaos reigns, but we are far from reality, we find a generous crowd of people who live together as a family, with values and good customs with a high level of organization, people who have much experience and popular wisdom, we find professionals, hardworking, culturists who replicate the traditions and culture of our country, which make their community a worthy place to live, making it a tourist and charming place.
De manera, que uno juzga los barrios como un recinto donde no se puede convivir porque reina el caos, pero estamos muy lejos de la realidad, encontramos una multitud generosa de personas que conviven como una familia, con valores y buenas costumbres con un alto nivel de organización, personas que tienen mucha experiencia y sabiduría popular, hallamos profesionales, trabajadoras, cultores que replican las tradiciones y cultura de nuestro país, que hacen de su comunidad un lugar digno para vivir, convirtiéndolo en un lugar turístico y encantador.
My experience, I was completely attracted by the neighborhood and surprised by its degree of organization, giving an example of civic coexistence to all the popular sectors of our country.
Mi experiencia, quedé completamente atraída por el barrio y sorprendida por su grado de organización, dando un ejemplo de convivencia ciudadana a todos los sectores populares de nuestro país.
