Each of us has a dream destination on our bucket list. A dream that would fulfill everything until it satisfies us. I dreamt of traveling and experiencing fruit picking, especially strawberries because I have never seen one before much more tasting it. I have heard of a strawberry farm near my husband's residence however, I never had a chance to go due to some reasons. Just last week, we had a long ride and got the chance to experience this one-of-a-kind travel.

Now, I'm bringing you with me to the Strawberry De Cantipla Eco Farm where our second stop during our long ride. So, let's go!

The Entrance

It is the entrance where we can see pink rillings and a path to the farm. The color is kind of cute and lassie. When it comes to color I am a bit observant since it symbolizes something.

Above where we walk, is a passion fruit or in our dialect, it is merenda or poca-poca. It was my favorite fruit when my son was still in my tummy. Its juicy and sour taste is what I missed.

This site here is another area for photo opportunities. We can see the used wheels designed on the side. From there, they practiced recycling and that's good for our environment.

What's Inside

As we are approaching its main farm, I'm already amazed by how they arranged their plants. As soon as I see their 3D art design which says I ❤️ Strawberry, my eyes also wink hearts 😍.

The strawberry plants look vibrant as other plants present on the farm. I can't help but roam around the farm and look for strawberries. According to the person in charge, there's no strawberry picking as of this moment due to a lack of fruit and it's not yet their season.

The plot is covered with plastic rolls to lessen the labor. By using this material, the grass can't grow under. Some of the farmers have been using this so they will not hire helpers to maintain their farm.

This hut right here has been a resting place for the workers. It has tiny vine plants surrounding its roof. The roof is made of cogon grass that feels like we are in the countryside.

I have been attracted to these heart crafts, their radiant color captures every goer here. The big heart in the center is made of old wheels painted red. On its circle, is planted with another red ornamental. The metal heart shape is also a creative one, in which the curve line has also a compartment that the plants can occupy.

See how artistic and creative they are!

If you're asking if it's a big area? Yes, it has ample space where everywhere we can see plants, the majority of those are strawberries, and others are ornamental plants. They also have a greenhouse made of metal and the net serves as a roof. It controls the temperatures hence we experience two seasons only.

While taking some photos, I captured this man working on the barren land. I mean, it was neglected and has now been maintained.

Across from where the farmer, is a fish pond. It has dark water that's why I can't see the fishes there. Somehow, I can witness that there are some due to its movement under the water. The fish pond is just made of waterproof canvas because it can hold water for a long time. Then, on the side, are sacks of soil that serve as blockage or to hold the blue sack tarpaulin.

These are the strawberries I picked. They are small yet already ripe but I think I have taken other yields not yet ripe. Hehe. Strawberry tastes sweet and sour, this suits my taste because I love sour fruits.

They also have cactus. It is my first time seeing that they bear fruit as well. Looks like a small dragon fruit because of its color.

The Store

The strawberry farm has also a store, where you can dine and there is some food to choose from. They sell strawberries as well, however not come from their garden, they just ordered them in case some travelers look for them. Moreover, the best selling is the ice cream strawberry flavor.

In case you want to visit. Here's your guide.
