Hello my dear Hive friends,

I would like to take you to Überlingen. It's a city that sits on the shore of a lake Bodensee as well as Meersburg @holdonla/meersburg.

When we come to Überlingen from nord we have to go throu two roundabouts and in between those is a bigger shopping center where you can hop in for a snack and water you need for a walk throug the town. Do not forget that, we are made 60% from water!

Then quick back to the car and off we go. After you meet a city traffic sign you arive to another roundabout and there is another shop and another roundabout and petrol station and another roundabout than one more on which you drive the third out, finaly :D. On those previous ones you just drive straight. That you are close to the town you will know, becouse there sudenly appear nice houses. On the last roundabout is on the left side parking lot and a bus station. I gues there is also end station from the train to Friedrichshafen. Thats the place where we want to park our car. I mean the parking lot, not the train station. You know allready those toubles whit praking our cars in turistic places, don´t you? So here it is the same. Sometime you just have to be patient.

Anyway when you have your car parked and rucksack full with the proviant you bought before, you can go through the old town down to promenade. I do find this part of the trip usualy the best one. In these old towns, I gues that first writen sighn about Überlingen is from years 770, you can imagen which people did leaved here before and how did it looked like in here.

When we reach the promenade from the old town before, we have two choices. Ofcourse one to the left and one to the right. Lets decide that we go first to left. That way is shorter to the end. But on the end of this way are thermal baths. I do realy recomend that aspecialy in winter when you can swimm out in the pool and you can look from the warm water on the frozen lake. For the thermal baths you need to have some time. So i would recommend that like a singel trip.

Just before we arived to thermal baths is on end of promenade nice big greenhouse. That is one from ours destinations for today. They grow a lot of difrend spieces of catuses in there. One can observe those there for a while. It is nice experience.

After cactuses we take a walk on the promenade. On the right side you have a lake. Where you see sailing boats, ferrys and boats which goes around the lake town to town. Oh yes one can come here also from another cities by boat. That could be a nice trip as well. And on the left side you have beutifull buildings, gardens and small harbours for small boats.

Than cross over a restaurant with a cannon in front of it.

After which you appiert to be on the square with realy nice fontaine. That fontaine is again that crazy German art which makes me to stay with open mouth to look at it and imagen what wanted the author to say.

Under the tree next to fontaine is small kiosk where you can buy some memorible merch and just behid it is a small coffeshop whwer we bougt ice cream.

Back to the car you can take a bit of diferent way through another street full of small shops and cafes.

And hop you are again reaching the old town. Up over the centrum by the lake. You see the diferent becouse of the architectual style. I am not shure, if it is a fort or a castle, but gues that it is a fort. I do gues so of those old walls with holes for cannons and so on.

You should be allready tired from walk in the Überlingen. And full of nice new experiences. And you should go back slowly to hotel or home or somewhere to spend a nice evenig whit people you like.

Have a nice day and Bee Hive!!!
