Hello my dear Hive friends,
today I would like to let you know abouth next town in the Bodensee area. The town is called Friedrichshafen. It is a beutifull modern city. When you come to the town by car from nord, you have to go throug a few viliges. The viliges are realy nice. In between those are a lot of apple and pears orchards. And in front of houses there you can throug sommer and autum buy fresh fruits. More close you are to the city, more is the travel speed reduced. When you gettig closer throug the vilages there is 50kmh and in between those is usualy 70kmh which changes to 30kmh in vilages and 50kmh in between.
But finaly when you are close to the town you can see mounteins called Alps. It is an incredible viev. We usualy park the car in parking garage near the lake. If there is a space. Throug the season is the town visited by a lot of people. So it can take while to find a place to park. The minute you are out of the parking garage you will see the bus station throug which you get to pier. One would say, that this pier is the heart of the town. Direct on your righ hand is Zeppelin museun. I do realy recomend to go there. There you will see how airships are build, Also you can peak inside airship how comfortable is it there and how does it looks there. The toure throug the museum takes i gues two ouhrs so better to save a bit of time for it.
After, when you are out of the museun is nice to take a walk on the piers promenade there. The promenade is full with restaurants, small shops where one can by t-shirts, caps and small memorible merch. On the pier is also a one big tower with stairs so you can go up there and have a look on the town from the top. And that remindes me, that one can take also tour with the airship, which is realy expensive. But cool. One day i would like to try.
Anyway after you have seen Friedrichshafen from the top you should go to eat something. To eat gives a lot of posibilities. We usualy go to find a restaurant in smaller streats, cose these are a bit cheaper.
So ok we did eat something. Great now is time to buy a beer somewhere and go to engoy a bit of quite somewhere on the beach. There can one oserve the towns live. I was thinking, first time i have been there, that Friedrichshafen is a new city. No it is not. It is compleatly renovated becouse of the damage from the world war II. That happend becouse there are a big factories like ZF and MTU which build big engines and gear boxes for big boats, submarines and i have no idea what else. Ohh and also they build in the company Zeppelin airships. Which, when you see them about your head, are looking incredible. Especialy with those Alps behind them and the lake under neas. I feal every time i visit Friedrichshafen like in novel from Julius Verne.
