A trip further into the woods ࿐ ࿔*:・゚🍂🍃༄。°

Decided to come with my parents on an impulse to a missionary visit deep into the woods - away from civilization. It was 6 in the morning and the clouds were heavy, rain was pouring down the streets and the droplets could be heard from the bedroom window. The feeling was cold yet comforting (especially since the weather in the Philippines had been boiling lately). My parents woke me up, asking if I'd like to come. I just said yes since I needed to get out of the house and travel elsewhere.

Took some photos right here along the way up into the mountains. We crossed through narrow and bumpy pathways, leading into the forest.

It was an hour-long ride to our destination. But it felt like an eternity. I had a really bad stomachache while we were still traveling, and I felt my insides turn into jelly. Good thing I was able to hold it in and once we got there, I immediately rushed to the bathroom (lol).

While my parents were busy lending their attention to their church duties, I decided to walk around the small neighborhood and saw some animals, including a small pond nearby.

Here I met a really friendly and sweet dog. Her name was Tanya. She came up to me while I was sitting on a bench and sniffed me. I gave her tiny rubs on the head while she licked it and placed her head on my lap.

I also stumbled upon these cute cats having their sweet moment together. I decided not to get too close as to not disturb their peace. But they had fascinating features. The first cat had amber eyes, while the other had ocean-blue eyes.

We went home feeling content and happy. We were offered lots of food there too (I wasn't able to capture it). The people there were very hospitable and kind. I saw some food that I wasn't able to taste in a while like quail eggs (pugo) and banana heart (puso ng saging). I also got to taste some of their self-grown plants which were so amazing (even better than store-bought ones). I had some sweet and juicy watermelon and papaya. It was top tier by the mountains. The fresh breeze was filling my lungs, and this was certainly the escapade I needed.
