Continuing with the family adventures, touring parts of the beautiful city of Buenos Aires while visiting us, today I want to share with you a little bit about this great trip to The Children's Republic.
La República de los Niños queda en Gonnet, La Plata, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, a dos horas de la casa de mi hermana mayor, Alondra.
Se trata de un enorme parque temático algo parecido a Disney, pero que tiene como objetivo instruir a los niños sobre la democracia y república Argentina, de forma didáctica y divertida claramente.
The Children's Republic is located in Gonnet, La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, two hours away from my older sister Alondra's house.
It is a huge theme park somewhat similar to Disney, but its objective is to teach children about democracy and the Argentine Republic, clearly in a didactic and fun way.
Este día despertamos temprano porque sabíamos que nuestro destino era lejos y que debíamos tomar 2 trenes y un bus para poder llegar, sip, un montón. Ya a las 8 AM estábamos saliendo de casa para tomar el largo camino.
La entrada a la República de los Niños es totalmente gratis y como estamos en vacaciones de invierno estaba repleto de gente y pusieron aún más atracciones e inflables para que los niños jugaran.
That day we woke up early because we knew that our destination was far away and that we had to take 2 trains and a bus to get there, yep, a lot. Already at 8 AM, we were leaving home to take the long way.
The entrance to the Children's Republic is free and since we are in winter vacations it was packed with people and they put even more attractions and inflatables for the kids to play.
En mi post anterior les hablé de Neverland y, aquí es un proceso parecido al de la tarjeta, debes comprarla y recargarla para poder entrar a las atracciones. Acá la tarjeta tuvo un costo de 500 pesos y le recargabas lo que quisieras de plata, normalmente cada jueguito tenía un costo de 1200 a 1500 pesos por persona, pero como era para los niños, solo se montaron los nenes.
Hicimos nuestro recorrido por cada pequeño castillo que representaba instituciones del sistema democrático, tipo el parlamento, el palacio de justicia y así, además de esto también cuenta con teatros y demás.
Aquí los nenes con la estatua de Eva Perón, presidenta del Partido Peronista Femenino.

Algo chistoso que me sucedió, fue que cuando estábamos caminando vi a un "señor" que salía en Piratas del Caribe, el personaje era Davy Jones, que es el que tiene la cara de pulpo, ustedes saben, y me llamó mucho la atención, así que me acerqué y cuando vi bien, era aún muñeco😂 y luego me percaté que estaba un señor disfrazado de Jack Sparrow y la gente se estaba tomando fotos con él, no te cobraba pero tenías que dejar una colaboración de buena fe jaja.
Y así terminamos disfrazados tomándonos fotos con el señor Jack Sparrow.
Something funny that happened to me, was that when we were walking I saw a “gentleman” who was in Pirates of the Caribbean, the character was Davy Jones, who is the one with the octopus face, you know, and it caught my attention, so I approached and when I saw well, it was still a doll😂 and then I realized that there was a man dressed as Jack Sparrow and people were taking pictures with him, he did not charge you but you had to leave a collaboration in good faith haha.
And so we ended up in costume taking pictures with Mr. Jack Sparrow.
Luego seguimos caminando y nos metimos a ver un documental en 3D. Era sobre los meteoritos y dinosaurios, estuvo bastante entretenido y está bueno para los niñitos, es muy educativo.
A mí me gustó un montón, a excepción de que los lentes, como se ven en 3D, me cansó mucho la vista y me dio mucho sueño, la verdad🥺.
Then we kept walking and went to see a 3D documentary. It was about meteorites and dinosaurs, it was quite entertaining and good for kids, it is very educational.
I liked it a lot, except that the glasses, as they are in 3D, made my eyes very tired and made me very sleepy, to be honest🥺.
Después de cansarnos de caminar y tomar fotos, decidimos que ya era hora de partir, eran cerca de las 5 PM y ya estaba empezando a oscurecer, pues en invierno oscurece mucho antes. Pese a eso, el clima estuvo decente, incluso hizo algo de calorcito porque había sol y mucha gente en este lugar.
After getting tired of walking and taking pictures, we decided it was time to leave, it was about 5 PM and it was already starting to get dark because in winter it gets dark much earlier. Despite that, the weather was decent, it was even a little warm because there was sun and a lot of people in this place.
