Cherry Blossom Festival - A place to display the quintessence of the land of Mang Den

Hello Hivers in Pinmapple community, today I would like to introduce to you the cherry blossom festival in Mang Den - A place displaying the quintessence of the land of Mang Den. I remember the first day I set foot in this land nearly a year ago, and immediately I fell in love with this land because of the beautiful climate and nature. And the more I explore this beautiful land, the more I love it for its rich cultural identity. And today it is very emotional when I have the opportunity to attend the cherry blossom festival held in the center of Mang Den town, Kon Plong district, where I think displays the best and most beautiful things of the ethnic minority groups of this land.

This time of year is the cherry blossom season, a flower that is very suitable for a land with a cool climate all year round like Mang Den. This is also considered the most beautiful season in Mang Den, so this is the time when Mang Den attracts a lot of tourists. This year, the government held a cherry blossom festival to celebrate this event. And it has brought a great effect because of its charm. The festival was held at the square of the center of Mang Den town, where people recreated the daily life of ethnic minorities in this land. The stilt houses and their daily living spaces have also been arranged in a lively manner, which has received many compliments from visitors and even myself.

As I said above, this is an outdoor display area about the quintessence of the land of Mang Den. It is a large gallery of everyday things like working tools to local products like brocade and agricultural products.

Brocade weaving is a popular profession in this land. The ethnic minorities here only wear their own costumes. Although these brocades are meticulously handcrafted, time-consuming and labor-intensive, they are precious objects to the locals. Each of them has only a few outfits like this so they always have a high sense of keeping them.

In daily life, the local people use rudimentary tools that they make themselves from wood, bamboo, earth and iron. Living in remote areas, they equip themselves with the necessary tools to live and work. Over the generations, these tools are meticulously and beautifully made.

Gongs are indispensable items in the spiritual life of local people.

These are baskets used by locals when they go fishing.

The crossbow is a common hunting tool made from bamboo and forest rope.

The pestles and mortars of different shapes are made from wood.

This is "chicken bungalow"

Wooden masks are familiar decorative objects.

The jars are made from clay to hold water and food.

The sling baskets are made from bamboo to carry things when they go to the fields or the forest.

The skins of the gourd are also used to make containers.

The flat winnowing baskets are made from bamboo.

The bamboo "houses" of poultry.

The machete is commonly used when going to work in the fields and in the forest.

A bullock cart that was once only available to well-to-do families.

Wooden statues are also an indispensable part of the spiritual life of ethnic minorities in this land. They carve wood into different shapes, and each of them is a familiar image and teaches a lesson. They can be images of mothers holding children, labor, festivals, ... and even animals.

Below is a picture of local people's rebuilt motorbikes. Because the terrain of this land is mainly mountains and dirt roads, the local people have rebuilt the motorbikes by making them longer and tying chains to the wheels so that they can go up the mountains, into the forest and transport more. I think the traffic police can sympathize with them, although there is no traffic police in their village.

And the last thing I want to introduce to everyone is agricultural products. With the favor of mother nature, the land and climate here are very suitable for crops. Especially the agricultural products here are all organic products. With a subsistence lifestyle, the locals mainly grow food crops. Rice has always been the staple food. Then we can mention corn, potatoes, cassava, pumpkin, vegetables,... and fruit trees. Thanks to the clean food source, and the people here have very good health, we can easily see the 70-90 year old people working in the fields.
