The Marina Bouregreg of Rabat Salé is located at the delta of the Bouregreg River separating Rabat and Salé, just north of the Rabat medina. It is part of the traditional part of Rabat and has been modernized during the last few years to provide a wide promenade. In a picturesque setting, walking here gives you a sense of what life was like here 100 years ago.
view from the northern end of the medina looking towards the ocean
it is calm and quiet here with just a few little boats and the odd fisherman
I love coming here and sometimes I wish I was a fisherman ;)
many locals still use the traditional means to cross the river: paddle boats
on the other side of the shore we see modern luxury apartments
seagulls everywhere waiting for fisher boats to return
you can have coffee and cake at the Bateau Restaurant
view of the old city
I hope you enjoyed my post and there will be more coming soon to show more of the country I love and call my home!
