Welcome in the last part of "Prodigy Kid".
This post collects the last part of the fair where the collaborations between the artists Leonardo Pivi and Francesco Cavaliere are shown.

The exhibition was particularly appreciated due to the fact that a page of Leonardo Da Vinci's "Atlantic codex" was exhibited to the public.

"Il solimandante che si connette al sogno altrui se pensa al presente come un fante consenziente"

In many cases we see how Leonardo's pop culture mosaic is directed towards something more ancient and mysterious by Francesco's style

"maschera doppia rondine"

In this work, we see how the ancient joins the contemporary,
allegory joins design and requiem joins electronics,
just like in Francesco's music

Rimini 1948, an ancient mosaic hidden under the floor of a restaurant.
Exotic and esoteric, that mosaic, dated to the 2nd century AD, shows a mysterious scene, a shepherd with a canine face who observes in the distance a herd of wild and fantastic animals: a sphinx, a giraffe and an ocelot.

Scholars have long wondered about the identity of the central figure, who was later identified as a survival of the Egyptian god Anubis (but exceptionally also as a baboon).

"Anubis Vs Baboon"

If so, it would be a god without those iconographic attributes that normally depict him as such. As if for millennia, the divine psychopomp has been herding a strange flock incognito through space and time.

what the artists have captured is the mystery behind the figure of Anubis, do gods have a second life beyond their divine functions?

"Osservatorio Primo Area Sagittario"

this work is an example of rhizomatic storytelling.

The concept of rhizome, used to express the distributive complexity of a phenomenon: for example, the bee is hive + nature + honey + plus the other processed substances + animal language + beekeeper + technique + product + market + sale + consumption +. ..; and each of these voices is in turn a rhizome.

to solve the puzzle it is necessary to understand the connections between the images inside the observatory.
Photos of birds, constellations and.. even a football figurine seem to be connected somehow by an etymological or historical link.

I admit that this work really amazed me by the amount of images and also by the surreal music that was played.

And i was even more amazed when i saw a statue of the Pokémon "Heracross" made with the mosaic.🤯

At first glance this too would appear to be a mosaic, but this work was made with pigments of various colors.

On 8 March 1512 a prodigious event took place in Ravenna. A child is born who has an enormous head, a horn on his forehead and an exaggerated mouth. One of the two legs has an eye in the knee, while the other is hairy like the paw of the devil. On the chest, three letters: Y X V. The whole world will know him as the Monster of Ravenna.

It is known that a monster tickles the imagination of artists and scientists. Here then is that Leonardo da Vinci become passionate about the story and dedicate one of their drawings to the Monster of Ravenna.

Leonardo Da Vinci, Codice Atlantico, Page 58 "In alto, studio attrito e ponte selvatico; in basso ermafrodito"

"Prodigy Kid" was a very strange, crazy exhibition, full of brilliant ideas. Francesco Cavaliere and Leonardo Pivi have reinvented the story of the Monster of Ravenna which from a very unlucky creature instead becomes the epicenter of an imaginative and wonderful universe.

As usual, thank you for reaching this point in the reading, see you in the next post💫
