Coastal Park: a mountain of games surrounded by nature ๐Ÿ“ท Malaga - Spain

Arriving at a place and discovering that it is much more wonderful than you thought it would be is great.

Some time ago, I had seen on the map of the city there was a park in one of the farthest neighbourhoods, in a westerly direction. In fact, to get there you can take bus number 15, get off at the last stop and then walk about 4 more streets. That's how you can get to this beautiful place. And so I did.

But what I saw on the internet about this park is not at all close to reality, it is much bigger and more beautiful than I imagined. That was my impression when I arrived at the place.

Its name is actually Parque Litoral 25 de noviembre. That was the day it was inaugurated 16 years ago.

I thought it was a small park and I found a space full of nature and playgrounds of more than 50.000 m2. Impressive.

It has several entrances from the different streets that surround it, although it is listed as being located on Calle Villanueva de Algaidas in the neighbourhood of Mainake, which is located within the district of carretera de Cรกdiz.

The whole park is surrounded by buildings, and from those balconies you can probably enjoy great views of the park.

As I enter I find a network of paths, some main ones just connecting to the entrances and some secondary, narrower ones full of hedges and bushes that delimit them, as well as seats and benches everywhere.

In its design the park is square, with a large centre where two main paths and some secondary paths converge.

I was able to walk through it in its entirety and noticed that this large square is in turn divided into four smaller ones, each of which has rest areas, shady trees, lots of bushes and a diversity of vegetation.

In turn, each of these squares has playgrounds, some larger, some smaller, and each path is so well maintained that it looks like it was made by an artist.

Although the sun was strong it was not hot, the weather is ideal now in autumn to walk through these spaces full of vegetation. In the shady spots it was cooler.

In the first quadrant of the park I found this playground for children, on one side with figures, characters, drawings and on the back side with slides where the children played.

The paths with the neatly trimmed bushes indicate a constant maintenance of the place and that is very pleasing to the eye, with a spectacular and very modern design.

If I looked through the bushes I could see large green spaces, with neatly trimmed lawns, palms and trees of various species and between the bushes benches to rest, read a book or just sit and admire the scenery.

I think this park is both ideal for children, but also for adults, to take a beautiful walk in the open air and enjoy the spectacular views. As I walked further and further along my route, I liked what I was seeing more and more.

I approached the central circle of the park where shade reigned under the trees, a more reddish paved area as if it were a huge square in the middle of the park.

From there I went to the next quadrant in the middle of the side paths and always enjoying the pleasant scenery. The air was different, as if there was more oxygen and a lot of calm.

This quadrant also had playground equipment for children, but not so high, as if it was intended for younger children for safety reasons.

Of course, from anywhere in the large park you could see the quadrant, which is most notable for its large mountain with a large wooden viewing platform at the top. There is also a kind of castle tower with giant slides.

They can be reached by stairs, several wooden stairs. It is the biggest attraction in the park and it blew me away. Parents were there with their children enjoying themselves.

I went around that whole mountain with that beautiful attraction at the top and I found it spectacular for both children and adults.

All around that mountain, plenty of green spaces full of sunshine but I could also see some shady places ideal for picnics.

Paths and more paths criss-crossing each other led me to the fourth quadrant of the site. The highlight of this space is a large gazebo with an iron sculpture of a bird, surrounded by many plants and flowers.

There is also a playground for the younger children and a space with exercise equipment.

A very complete place to, for example, spend the day there, eat, chat, and spend the day in nature, although inside the city.

I continued walking and between the fourth quadrant and the first one I noticed there was a space to play football and basketball. A very complete park indeed.

Turning around I returned to almost the same place where I started my tour and as the children's playground was so high I didn't see that within the first quadrant there were some beautiful gazebos with huge benches for picnics, as for a whole family. I noticed several of these spaces, under the shade and with beautiful views. All very tidy and clean.

I'm glad I ventured far, far away to the west of the city and found this wonder, a great green lung for the city, but also a recreational and leisure place for all ages.

Thank you very much for joining me in this discovery. Best regards to all and see you soon.
