Madupetty

Madupetty is a beautiful place located here in Idukki, Kerala. Madupetty is known for its natural beauties, Dams, climate and Tea plantations. The place is usually crowded during holidays, luckily for me, that was not the case, I'm guessing it's because we landed there on a working day.

This picture was shot by me on the shores of kundala lake, As we can see the place looks stunning, the mountains in the distance, the canoe and the round boats in this shot just made it magical. This looks way beautiful in person.

That was a quick view of the dam shot when a bus was about to pass through it, the bus barely fits the path.

Don't know what this floating plant was, looked cool and it was full of tiny fishes (tried getting them on my camera but failed miserably)

Now the lake was not the only attraction there, these Eucalypts also fascinated me, they are super tall and smooth to touch on the white portion of their trunks.

Look how tall they are, A quick google search made me realise that these were some of the tallest trees alive on our planet, I also found out that they were the tallest flowering plant in the world. Enjoy the short video attached of the place.

So another beautiful view that caught my attention was the tea plantation when travelling through these roads.

These beautiful planatations were brought to Idukki by the British during their colonial rule here, tending to these plantation and harvesting them is still one of the most common way of making a living for the locals

These roads never forget to make me feel mesmorised no matter how many times you have travelled through it. These two iconic sights are here because of the colonial rule that we had to endure and I'm happy to be able to enjoy it.
