Three years ago, I did this trail for the first time. At that time, I was very stressed because of work and also experiencing some symptoms of depression. Being in contact with nature has always been a remedy for my mind and body, but as going to the beach was no longer effective, I had decided to do something different. At the time, it was rejuvenating and a key factor in my emotional improvement. This second time was no different.

I hiked to the Enchanted Valley last weekend. Just like the first time, it provided an indescribable sense of well-being to walk through the Atlantic forest with the goal of bathing in the valley's river. The trail is located in the Pium neighborhood, in the municipality of Parnamirim. Pium is a small neighborhood mainly characterized by its beach and river.
The trail to the Enchanted Valley is approximately 3 kilometers long, and I covered this distance in 40 minutes. Some people take a little longer, while others take less time, but overall, it's a tranquil trail.
While walking through the forest, I encountered small monkeys a few times and some gigantic ants. I couldn't take photos of the monkeys, but I did manage to snap a picture of one ant. However, I don't think you'll be able to grasp just how large and intimidating that creature really was.
Despite enjoying hiking, I prayed not to encounter any spiders because I have arachnophobia. Everything turned out fine! This was the second time I did this trail and didn't come across any tarantulas.
One of the trail's features that indicates when you're nearing your destination is the presence of açai palm trees. It's not common to find açai trees in the Northeast region of Brazil. Açai is typically found and cultivated in the North, but in the valley, there is a plantation cared for by a local couple. They also sell pure and natural açai there.
Finally, after 40 minutes of walking through the hot forest, we reached our ultimate goal. The part of the river that flows through the valley is small, and over the weekend, the river had shallow and crystal-clear waters. I prefer it to be a bit fuller than it was, but even so, I enjoyed bathing in its waters.
The water was cold, which was perfect for that hot day. In the valley, you can find some canopy activities to do. These are fun activities that allow you to unleash your primal side and have fun in the midst of nature.
The daily fee to stay in the valley is 15 Brazilian Reais or $3. It's an affordable price considering that the space is maintained and preserved by the local residents. For camping, the fee is 35 Brazilian Reais or $7. I decided to spend only the day, along with my husband and a couple of friends.

I definitely recommend this trail to anyone who is visiting the coast of Parnamirim. It doesn't have many obstacles, and it's relatively easy to complete if you're not very sedentary, and the final destination is rewarding. The environment of the Enchanted Valley is simple but beautiful and undoubtedly promotes relaxation. I left there feeling rejuvenated and with the certainty that I won't wait another three years to return.

Há três anos fiz essa trilha pela primeira vez. Na época estava muito estressada por causa do trabalho e também apresentava alguns sintomas de depressão. Estar em contato com a natureza para mim sempre foi um remédio para minha mente e corpo, porém como ir a praia já não estava fazendo efeito, tinha decidido fazer algo diferente. Na época foi revigorante, e um ponto chave pra que eu melhorasse no aspecto emocional. Dessa segunda vez não foi diferente.

Fiz a trilha para o Vale Encantado no último fim de semana. Assim como da primeira vez, me fez um bem inexplicável andar pela mata atlântica com o objetivo de me banhar no rio do vale. A trilha fica no bairro Pium, municipio da cidade de Parnamirim. Pium é um bairro pequeno caracterizado principalmente pela sua praia e rio.
A trilha para o Vale Encantado tem cerca de 3 quilômetros e percorri essa distância em 40 minutos. Tem pessoas que levam um pouco mais de tempo, outras levam menos tempo; mas no geral é uma trlha tranquila.
Enquanto andava pela mata encontrei pequenos macacos algumas vezes, e formigas enormes. Não consegui tirar fotos de macacos mas de uma formiga sim, porém acho que vocês não conseguirão ter a noção do quanto esse bicho era realmente grande e amendrontador.
Apesar de gostar de fazer trilhas, rezei para não encontrar nenhuma aranha pois sou aracnofobica. Deu tudo certo! Segunda vez que faço essa trilha e não encontro nenhuma tarantula.
Um das características da trilha que mostra quando o destino já está proximo, são as arvores de açai. Não é comum existir pé de açai na região nordeste do Brasil. Açai é encontrado e cultivado no Norte, porém, no vale existe uma plantação que é cuidada por um casal de moradores. Lá eles também vendem açai puro e natural.
Finalmente depois de 40 minutos andando por uma mata quente, chegamos ao nosso objetivo final. O parte do rio que passa pelo vale é pequena, e no fim de semana o rio estava com aguas bem rasas e cristalinas. Eu gosto dele um pouco mais cheio do que estava, porém mesmo assim pude aproveitar muito me banhando em suas aguas.
A água estava gelada, o que foi perfeito para aquele dia quente. Pelo vale é possível encontrar algumas atividades de arvorismo para fazer. São atividades divertidas que te fazem soltar o lado mais primitivo e se divertir em meio a natureza.
A diaria para permanecer no vale é 15 reais ou $3.É um valor barato se você levar em conta que o espaço é cuidado e preservado pelas pessoas que lá habitam. Para acampar o valor é 35 Reais ou $7. Decidi passar apenas o dia, junto com meu esposo e um casal de amigos.

Com certeza recomendo essa trilha para qualquer pessoa que esteja passeando pelo litoral de Parnamirim. Não tem muitos obstáculos, é relativamente fácil de concluir se você não é muito sedentário, e o objetivo final é recompensador. O ambiente do Vale Encantado é simples, mas bonito e sem dúvida promove o relaxamento. Sai de lá renovada e com a certeza que não demorarei mais três anos para voltar.
