The holes in the socks you darn.
You won't let me play with the ball of yarn,
So please let me play in the barn,
Where I can hunt and play with mice,
While you one knit, two knit, thrice.
Those darned socks are not worth a darn,
I am darn near at my wit's end while you mend.
I'll be darn! You will not stop me from taking that ball of yarn,
And trying my darndest to throw it in the tarn.
