Slow Week

I don't like my name too much

Did you know, a daughter asked.
My answer was: the eldest?
Honestly, I don't care about my ancestors and never asked or tried to figure out the family tree. It all sounds very Dutch to me like a herb. One I like so that's a plus.
The French invasion arrived and next the State with it's forced upon religion, and the rest was messy.
The one who filled it out must have lacked logic, has a messy mind or it's a trick. Hoping for a family who likes to live anonymously to show up and give the right data. Not me, I want a slow week and if the week isn't slow I will be!

Some news: my grandmother died in 1966 so the one I met must have been a ghost. My grandfather is still alive (the church was right so that's why they kept ringing the front doorbell begging for 10% of the salary 25 years after he was buried) and my grandmother's parents and siblings are still alive. Another interesting fact is that grGrandpaived in 1921 at the same address as his dead/divorced wife while married to someone else. If you ask me this info is good for a story. Grandma said she had a stepmom, no bad words about this woman but I wonder. What if stepmom was the real one?

400 years of family tree, a bunch of chased, educated travellers mixing with foreigners worldwide. The end result? Nowhere accepted, no home, no pension, a Dutch ID for some but still a pariah and tiptoeing. At least the herb can be grown, good for a soar throat, with fish and it's clear why we follow the sun and don't like pirate Wilhelm I.
