Once upon a time, there was a cat named Mittens. Mittens was a beautiful white cat with bright green eyes. She lived in a cozy little house with her loving owners, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. Mittens spent most of her days sleeping in the sun or chasing after toy mice. She was content with her simple life, but one day, she encountered a small grey rat.
The rat's name was Rascal, and he had been living in the Johnson's basement for months. He had been surviving on scraps of food and water that he found down there, but he was getting tired of the constant fear of being caught by the humans or the cat.
