Sunny and Stormy

"Tornados don't really do it for me."

Is this meant to be the beginning of story?

"Yes, I don't get excited by tornados."

Some people love it when it is sunny all day long, every day. A drop of rain is enough to unbalance life's ratio*.

But for others, they love to see a beautiful storm. Grey skies make a change and make more sense to the current mood.

A story?

Characters needed

How about a character called Stormy; who likes storms?

How about a character called Sunny; who likes sunny and settled weather?

Let's make them best buddies.

"I don't get this fascination with Tornados," said Sunny.

"So, you've said," said Stormy. "Plenty of times."

Today it is cloudy. It's one of those days that could go either way. The sun wants to come out. The dark clouds also want to thicken and multiply.

"We need a super brilliant storm right now to freshen up the air," said Stormy.

"No way. I want to be on the beach," said Sunny.

"We can. We can go to the beach and stand under the railway bridge and watch nature at work."

"Why are we best friends?" asked Sunny

"I can't say," said Stormy. "It would spoil this story. We'll reveal that at the end."

Sunny was going through a rough time in his life. He's still a little angry. He was hoping to spend some time meditating on the beach with the calm sea and sunshine.

"Actually, in fairness to you," said Stormy, "that would be nice. But right now, that is not your calling. You have to go and ride these rough seas. When your journey has finished, you will have your time with the sunny skies."

"Do I have a choice?" said Sunny. "Can't I just wait for the weather to change?"

"No, that is not something you can control. Submit to the storms. Take the journey."

Sunny just stood there. Still. He went to the beach and stood under the railway bridge. We decided that whatever will be, will be.

The clouds thickened and the winds increased. The sea became furious.

Sunny submitted.

He rode the stormy seas and he started to enjoy it.

"Wow, this is actually very awesome."

He just rode whatever came his way.

Eventually, Sunny was back on the beach underneath the railway bridge. His journey had come to an end.

He opened his eyes. The sun was out and the sea was calm.

"That was fun."

Sunny looked over to the sandy beach.

"Look at Stormy over there," he said to himself. "It looks like he's enjoying a nice meditation session."
