Eid is a Muslim festival that comes after the holy month of Ramadan. We have been anxiously waiting for this occasion for the whole year. Although we have two Eids, One is Eid-ul-Fitr, and the second is Eid-ul-Azha. Both are given to us for joy. But the happiness of Eid-ul-Fitr is next level because we gained it. Now the question arises: how did we gain this eid?
We fasted the whole month of Ramadan, and everyone knows that fasting for 14 to 15 hours is not an easy task. It requires a lot of patience, and that's why this Eid is given to us as a reward for our patience and kind deeds.
Although our religion teaches us to do good every day in every situation, a human is a model of making mistakes. We somehow made mistakes, but in this holy month we try to avoid bad things because the whole day we are fasting, and we did want to destroy our fast due to bad habits, so we avoid as much as we can.
Aftaar party in Ramadan 🫕
At after-party parties, we invite our friends and relatives to break their fast together at the table. It's a lot of fun, and we made a lot of dishes for our beloveds. Not only this, we made tables for poor people so that they could also enjoy good meals with us. The basic purpose of this month is to realise the patience of poor people who don't have enough food to feed their children. Every good deed in Ramadan will multiply 1000 times, and we will get many rewards on the day of judgement.
Chand Raat 🌙
Almost everyone's favourite night is the last night of Ramadan. It's called Chand Raat (Moon Night). Why is it called "Moon Night"? The reason is that when we saw the moon of Eid, we celebrated this night. Girls went to the market to buy some stuff for themselves and did hennah (mehndi) on their hands. The boys also celebrate this night with full passion. Everyone's looking happy on that night.
Eid Day 🫂
Finally, the day comes that everyone has been waiting for. On Eid morning, males go to the mosques for Eid prayer, and females pray at home. Then a sweet dish is made on that day because this Eid is also called Sweet Eid (Meethi Eid). Sweets are compulsory on that day. There is a vast variety of sweet dishes at everyone's house. We often make custard because everyone at my house likes it so much.
Then older people were giving eidi to younger ones, and that is the most anticipated thing, especially for kids. Then they go to the markets and buy everything they want.
So this is how we Muslims celebrate our Eid-ul-fitr. It's the most joyful occasion in the whole year.
Sending my sincere love to all those who are celebrating :)
Eid Mubarak Everyone ❤️
