Scout Reiss killed

In 1937, the famous Soviet intelligence officer Ignace Reiss died in Switzerland. He has worked in European countries.

When the "great terror" began in the USSR, Reiss refused to return to his homeland, fearing arrest and execution, this happened to many foreign intelligence officers.

Reiss openly made a statement in the French press denouncing Stalin's policy and called on the Soviet leadership to return to the Leninist principles of socialism.

Then he tried to hide in Switzerland, but failed…

His body with twelve bullet wounds was found near Lausanne.
