Sadness: A Life's Journey

A soul that's worn, a heart that's torn, A life once bright, now feels forlorn. A weight so heavy, hard to bear, A constant ache, a lingering despair.

Once filled with dreams and lofty goals, But now it seems, they've taken their tolls. A heart once full of joy and cheer, Now brims with tears, and sorrow's near.

Life's challenges, they came and went, But this one, a blow that's permanent. A loss so deep, a void so wide, No words can heal, no tears can hide.

Days drag on, with a heavy heart, Nights are long, a lonely part. A world that moves, in vibrant hue, But all is gray, for the one who knew.

Grief and pain, a constant friend, A shattered heart, that cannot mend. A loneliness that lingers on, A sadness that feels forever drawn.

Oh, how it hurts, this life of woe, A heart that's scarred, and doesn't know, How to move on, how to let go, Of the pain that seems to always show.

But amidst the darkness, a flicker of light, A memory of laughter, a moment so bright. A glimmer of hope, a ray of sun, A reminder that life, not yet is done.

For in the sadness, there's strength to find, To rise again, and leave behind, The heavy burden, the endless ache, To find a way, to truly break,

Free from sorrow, and find a way, To dance again, and laugh each day. To cherish memories, but still move on, To find new purpose, a brand new dawn.

So hold on tight, dear saddened heart, Though it feels like you're torn apart, Know that healing can take its place, And life can still be filled with grace.

With time and love, and gentle care, You'll find a path that's bright and fair. For even in the depths of pain, Hope can rise, and joy remain.

So take a step, and then one more, Towards a future, yet to explore. For life's a journey, with twists and turns, And even in sadness, new light still yearns.
