Hey Splinterlands fans and everyone else!
Hello! I want to share my post and entry for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. This week, Fan Art of Rebellion.
I started this drawing in my sketchbook with an idea I had made, even in the first step you can see another sketch near the main one, It seems to me that it happens a lot, making many sketches together π, but I understand them π and at some point I do them.
I made a video for this drawing, because well I work at night like lately since during the day it is impossible, which means, well, one more for the waiting list, I have also left some reference images and in the character that is for reference you can go directly to the market to obtain that card.

Yes, this isn't the actual sketch for this, well, I actually just used it as a base for the portrait because I had done it in my sketchbook for a different purpose but it worked for this time, even though I'm not going to leave it like this because I liked this one, I'll do it in the future just as the idea is.
Back to what matters, I've started laying down a base for the face with some lighting touches, I didn't start with grayscale scales and went straight to color, it wasn't too strong, it was a bit soft. I've also added a couple of brush strokes for the background.
I partially changed the start of the drawing, and I've added a bit more detail to the portrait. I wanted to give the hair some movement as if it were caught in the wind, but it was still just a flat base with no real detail. I also started on the outfit, adding some lighting effects from the light hitting it.
As I progressed, I focused more on detailing and working on the face, which was one of the main things I had to work on. I've made some significant progress in the eyes, nose, and mouth, although I was detailing as I went along if I found something I didn't like.
I smoothed out the face skin a bit more with the help of a Stripe Mix brush, and well, I like it better that way. I also worked a bit more on the hair, adding some darkness and highlights, and I also added some fine hairs in front of the face, this to continue with the wind effect. Well, I still had to add a bit more detail to that and work a bit more on other things, but so far I was liking the result.
By the end there were many things to finish rendering in a certain way and also some other adjustments that I always make, some color brightness and so on.
