Hello once again, I hope everything is great.
Well, today marks the beginning of a brand new week and with a brand new week comes a new face of the Splinterlands weekly art contest. As usual, I will be partaking once again. For this week's contest I designed the Sea Genie.
Among all the Splinterlands character cards I chose to design the sea genie, I feel like there is a little connection I have with the magical creatures "Genie". Right from when I was a kid I've always loved films with Genies in them. So permit me to say "designing the genie character card actually brings back memories of the good old days".
Of course, I won't want to bore you all so let get down to my art process.
I began my art with the design of the background.
Then I made a clean lineart of the character.
I later layed in all the flat colours.
After, I further shaded and added light to the artwork to create the illusion of volume and make it more realistic.
This is the final look.
