既にあちこちのSNSで知らせて回っているのですが、来年2024年5月に開催されるデザインフェスタvol.59に出展することになりました。
デザインフェスタは毎年春と秋に行われるアジア最大級のアートイベントです。オリジナルであればアート作品や日常を彩る雑貨、ワークショップ、ライブパフォーマンスや世界各国のグルメなどを提供するブースが約6500ブース（各日）集まります。
デザインフェスタは抽選で出展できるかどうかが決まります。今年はSNSによると常連の方々が次々と落選したそうです。理由の一つとして今年11月に開催されたデザインフェスタvol.58で起きたマフィン食中毒事件(https://www.asahi.com/articles/ASRCJ5Q4YRCJOXIE01Y.html)がニュースになり、知名度がけた違いに上がり応募が殺到したからではないかと言われています（本当かどうかわかりませんが）。
そんな中私はクジ運が弱いのに見事当選しました。私はデザインフェスタには昔々1度だけ出展したことがあります。2007年のことです。なので実に17年ぶりの出展となります。
17年前と比べてブース数、来場者数とも増えていると思われ、当選したのは嬉しいのですが、あまりにも久しぶりすぎて戦々恐々としております。
引っ越しが終わったら早速作品創りをします。
また、会期が近くなってブース番号も決まったら改めてお知らせしますね。

As I have already announced on various social networking sites, I will be exhibiting at Design Festa vol. 59, which will be held next year in May 2024.
Design Festa is one of the largest art events in Asia, held every spring and fall. About 6,500 booths (each day) will be gathered offering art works if they are original, miscellaneous goods to color your daily life, workshops, live performances, and gourmet food from around the world.
Design Festa determines whether you can exhibit or not by lottery. This year, according to social networking sites, regulars were eliminated one after another. One of the reasons is said to be that the muffin food poisoning incident (https://www.asahi.com/articles/ASRCJ5Q4YRCJOXIE01Y.html ) that occurred at Design Festa vol. 58 in November this year made the news and the name recognition of the event rose dramatically, leading to a flood of applications. I am not sure if it is true or not.
I was not lucky enough to win the lottery, but I did. I have participated in Design Festa only once before, in 2007. So it has been 17 years since I have exhibited at Design Festa.
The number of booths and visitors is expected to increase compared to 17 years ago, and although I am happy to have been selected, I am still a bit nervous because it has been so long since I last exhibited.
I will start creating works as soon as I finish moving.
