Did a new drawing tonight. - "Champagne" by @JACUZZI

Hi Friends,

WOW, it has been about 15 days since the last time I did a drawing. I think for the last 2 weeks, my mind has not been in a place where I feel like drawing. However, yesterday, I found myself in a nice café in India drinking tea, and said... okay now is the time to draw, and that is what I did.

I like Art Nouveau a lot. Something about the lines, the color, the vibe, it feels fun to me. Drawing the flowing hair, dresses and wild lines... all makes me happy.

If you don't know, Art Nouveau was a decorative style that emerged in the late 19th century and was characterized by its use of organic, often asymmetrical forms. It was used in a variety of mediums, including architecture, furniture, jewelry, and graphic design. You can find lots of posters with this style in it.

What I did, was look at a work of art for about 5 minutes or so, trying to remember the feeling of the work. After about 5 minutes, turned off the phone and drew from my memory, the energy // mood of the work. Today it was a work by Theophile Roedere.

Inspiration

Theophile Roedere - Champagne

Theophile Roedere was a French artist who was part of the Art Nuvo movement. His work was often abstract and full of color. He was known for his use of light and shadow to create a sense of movement in his paintings.

Personally, I find a lot of his works EPIC! You can learn more about him HERE

Today I was inspired by his work, 'Champagne'.

My art and process.

After looking at the work for about 5 minutes or so, I put down the phone and I started with a sketch of the basic vision.

After the sketch, I used a micron .3 pen to start and trace out the lines.

With the basic lines traced out, I removed the pencil line work, and went a bit crazy with cross-hatching, and darkening more lines. Using a Micron .5 I think.

Here is the final work.

Here is a side - by - side, looking at inspiration and the resulting inspired work.

I'm not exactly an art master, but that doesn't stop me from having fun. I enjoy exploring different mediums and experimenting with new techniques. Even if my creations don't turn out quite like I intended, I still derive a lot of satisfaction from the process. So what if I'm not the next Picasso? I'm still having a blast! HAHAHAHAH.

Thanks for joining me, hope you are inspired as well.

Cheers
