Diluted Speech | From Daily Practice to Colorful Art

Diluted Speech

Sticky words, the charm of a poetic speech, if you want to understand it you must immerse yourself in it, let it cover you and swim in the immensity of spoken but never heard poetry, an endless discourse of love lust and passion mixed with a little obsession.

Here is an old piece thought to be just a daily practice, but somehow ended up being part of my official art, I hope you like it, without more to add, let's go straight to the painting process👇.

-Step 1:

One day I woke up wanting to do some Nouveau art, you know with cool frames like stained glass, but I didn't want to do anything too refined, it was just a practice to pass the time.

-Step 2:

I looked for a template of this type of art and put it in the background, plus I wanted to add a wreath, so I looked for another reference, added it and cut it out and then started painting over it.

As for the hair, I played it safe initially painting normal hair, but I started to play a little with other colors and the always wonderful "finger" tool, creating something more liquid and colorful.

-Step 3:

A few more brush strokes here and there, the signature on the side and that's it, a piece made in a couple of hours with gigantic hands and that was never meant to be seen.

-Step 4:

But a few days later I saw this lady again and there was something that hooked me back to her, her liquid hair and those weird things coming out of her mouth, and I thought maybe she had some salvation.

First I had to somehow make up that giant hand, so I crudely transformed it to bone. Then I said goodbye to Art Nouveau (which this artwork I had made was an insult to such a refined artistic movement anyway) and started adding bright colors on a dark background.

-Step 5:

I kept working with the texture brushes to work correctly on the wings, and once I painted them I used the "finger" tool to expand the brushstrokes and get that feather effect where the colors blend.

Accompanying the crazy brushstrokes was the finger tool, distorting and mixing the colors with each other, achieving an expressionist piece based on the freedom of brushstrokes and color.

What started as a practice became an art that has been liked by many, but I am still not convinced, I still feel that it lacks more work and correction in the details. Tell me down below if you like this art as it is.
